Every time I get something from the Virginia BON, I'm half-convinced that they're yanking my license because they're no longer so EC-friendly. Heh. So today I pulled a ginormous manila envelope from the mailbox, and I saw the return address and thought, "Ruh-roh ..."

Inside is my super-duper official nursing license! I got a small, utilitarian version back in August, but this one looks like a diploma! It's so pretty! :D I'll have to frame it.

Funny timing ... tomorrow is my last shift on orientation. Starting Sunday, I'm the real deal! Yay!!

Go girl! They aren't going to take that license away from you! See--they're giving you a pretty license. That's how much they like you.

In Iowa you get a paper card that you get to put a self-adhesive "lamination" thing on all by yourself. You also get a dinky little certificate looking thing made of paper with a shiny little seal on it. Nothing pretty. Hubby gets the same crud as an RN, so I have a lot to look forward to. We always laugh at the card we get. At least my Oregon license was heavy like a credit card and had some sort of holographic deal to it, but that wasn't my initial licensure. I wonder what other states give their licensees....

Missouri here, and it looks like a shiny blue credit card with the nursing emblem on it:) guess i'm lucky lol.
