Every time I get something from the Virginia BON, I'm half-convinced that they're yanking my license because they're no longer so EC-friendly. Heh. So today I pulled a ginormous manila envelope from the mailbox, and I saw the return address and thought, "Ruh-roh ..."
Inside is my super-duper official nursing license! I got a small, utilitarian version back in August, but this one looks like a diploma! It's so pretty! I'll have to frame it.
Funny timing ... tomorrow is my last shift on orientation. Starting Sunday, I'm the real deal! Yay!!

Here in CT you get 3 paper licenses (one for your employeer, but hows about if you have TWO jobs??, one for your wallet and one thats ohhh about a 3 x 5 size or so.) The paper is flimsy and its lessor quality paper than the Social Security cards. YUCK! No seal of any sort just the CT State Seal directly on the paper, nothing raised, nothing laminated.....hhurrppphfff!
Aww it doesn't matter they could print my license on toilet paper and it wouldn't change the fact that I AM a licensed nurse

Go that way...really fast, if something gets in your way, turn! Double all ET tube and staff doses. Vix vapor rub and/or duct tape will fix anything.
I actually was unleashed a day early -- a nurse called out yesterday, so they unceremoniously dumped me off of orientation! It went just fine. I've been managing my own load for a while now anyway ... but it's nice to be all official 'n shtuff.
