Carla Espinosa from Scrubs is definitely my favorite. In real life, the actress’ sister was a nurse so she used her for a lot of insider information. She was caring to her patients, gave tough love when needed, and of course was never afraid to challenge anyone, regardless of their position/title, in order to advocate for her patients.

Specializes in Med-Surg, Geriatrics, Wound Care.

I like Claire Temple from Marvel's Netflix Comic series including Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Defenders. She plays the inadvertent nurse of the superheroes. She's knowledgeable and goes above and beyond for her patients. She's also good at keeping patient information private (HIPAA!). She advocates for her patients and isn't afraid to back down to administration. (Sure, it's cost her job at some point). But, not all superheroes wear capes (although nurses used to, hmmm)!

Specializes in kids.

I can still see Nurse Dixie McCall on TV from Emergency! She was calm cool and collected! She was one of my first inspirations to go into nursing.

The others were family, mom, grandmom, great aunt, honorary aunt. They all played a special part in my growing up with that vision.

Specializes in Psych (25 years), Medical (15 years).

Gaylord "Greg" Focker.

"... we love Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) for his determination to win his girlfriend’s parents approval despite a series of mishaps that it would be hard to bounce back from.

Greg Focker is also one of the best known male nurses in the media and is an example of the misconceptions many people have about men who go into the nursing profession."

Besides that, he has a great last name!

Merritt Weaver as Zoey Barkowon Nurse Jackie. Watching her transition from an enthusiastic but naive new grad, to a seasoned, down to earth nurse who would stand up for what's right even if it was the hardest thing, was my favorite part of the show.

Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. She had zero chill and was not for the drama. She's also the epitome of what NOT to do when you're having a bad day but we all have Ally McBeal moments, Nurse Ratched edition, when we have patients from hell. Luckily, we're civilized.

Nurse Zoey from nurse Jackie! She is so real, funny, and stays calm.

Loved Nurse Jackie. Her problems were real-life. Mostly I watched to see how she would get in and out of trouble.

Meredith Grey from Grey's anatomy. She is tough but down to the point and caring

The best nurse on tv ever. Hot lips holihan..Margret!

‘A leader, smart..sassy and knows how to have a good times. Love her.
