Sexy male scrubs

Nurses Men

Published

Pardon the attention grabbing headline, but I have a frivolous question about men's scrubs. I'm a guy (as is obvious from the title), a nursing student, and I work in a local hospital as a clinical tech/nursing assistant/patient care tech, what have you. I've always had the cheapest durable scrubs, but over the last 3 & 1/2 months, I've lost 25lbs, with 10 more to go for my fitness goal, and for the first time, in like forever, I'm looking kinda... well... hot.

I need to change out my entire wardrobe, but I'd also like to look attractive in scrubs. Not just for work, but I volunteer frequently too, and I'm trying to live it up (seriously, never had this going for me before...), and I'd like to be attractive in scrubs as well. What are good brands and styles that provide some added sex appeal while remaining professional?

*FULL DISCLOSURE*

I have an ex that works on a different floor, and she hasn't seen me since our break up, 25lbs heavier. I would like to look great if and when she does.

Men look hot in any scrubs lol as long as they aren't too big or flood pants

Congrats on the weight loss it's a great accomplishment!!!!!

And there's nothing wrong with trying to look hot!

Well I'm 30, and I've never had this opportunity. Maybe I'm handling it wrong. Pardon the bizarre question, as it's not my intent to misuse this forum.

Thank you all for the input.

I wouldn't worry about it. You feel good and you want to look good. That's totally normal. You can want to look good without wanting to sleep around... and there's nothing wrong with having relationships with people at work (just not at work). And you got the answer you came for - Dickies and Cherokee, probably tailored.

Grey's Anatomy makes the most comfortable scrubs I've ever worn, but they hang weird. Which is a shame.

You're right about that! Thanks!

Be careful about dipping your pen in company ink. It never ends well for the pen.

Go for something manly like Carharts and add a codpiece, you should be all set.

A truly weird thread.

Mainly because it is honest. And normal- It's just that verbalizing it is weird.

Most guy nurses I know seem to wear Dickie's, Carhartts, or Grey's Anatomy. I have the women's Dickies tops and pants, and some GA scrub tops. I'm like :woot: at all the pockets!!

Congratulations on your weight loss. Show your ex what she's missing!

that is a weird question, but I think we all know where you're coming from. I mean who doesn't like to feel attractive, whether you're in scrubs or in "street clothes"? and as someone else pointed out, feeling attractive can improve your confidence and in turn improve your performance.

Anyway, as far as what scrubs to wear, it's all relative to your tastes and body type. I'm a thin, fit guy and I like wearing form fitting clothes, after trying on many different kinds, I usually go with Uniform Authority. they also happen to be inexpensive, but I buy them because they fit my longer, thinner torso better than most scrubs. Now that you're fit though, I would suggest wearing form fitting scrubs. Not tight, but properly fit. Besides looking better, they're also practical for movement and not having extra material hanging off you.

Congrats on your newfound health. Your life will be better for it.

Dickies has a sport color block jersey style for men that I think hits all the good fit male vibes

Some of the floor rn's in my hospital wear street clothes and some of the men are starting to wear cargo pants and a polo shirt-especially the 511's with the pen pockets on the sleeves. Obviously we don't have a uniform or standard color code. Certain high contamination departments get there own hospital scrubs on carts but everyone else is free to choose as long as it is within the standard guidelines.

I can see what you are saying, I just think I wouldn't word it in that manner. I never knew guys like to think of themselves as sexy, thought that was a girl thing. Lol. When going through my divorce, I lost a bunch of weight. I wanted to feel pretty again and maybe a little sexy. But honestly, that thought never crossed my mind though when picking out my scrubs. I went to scrubs and beyond and tried and ton on one day. I've got a weird body shape, I think. I'm extremely short so I tried on tons of petite ones and just wanted them to fit my body correctly. I ended up going with KOI. I don't know if they make them for men or not. But my point being that you really need to go and try some on. Then you judge what looks best on you.

I'm thinking it's definitely all about the ex. She most likely won't care anyway. When I'm done with someone, I'm done, but that's me.
