Sexy male scrubs

Nurses Men

Published

Pardon the attention grabbing headline, but I have a frivolous question about men's scrubs. I'm a guy (as is obvious from the title), a nursing student, and I work in a local hospital as a clinical tech/nursing assistant/patient care tech, what have you. I've always had the cheapest durable scrubs, but over the last 3 & 1/2 months, I've lost 25lbs, with 10 more to go for my fitness goal, and for the first time, in like forever, I'm looking kinda... well... hot.

I need to change out my entire wardrobe, but I'd also like to look attractive in scrubs. Not just for work, but I volunteer frequently too, and I'm trying to live it up (seriously, never had this going for me before...), and I'd like to be attractive in scrubs as well. What are good brands and styles that provide some added sex appeal while remaining professional?

*FULL DISCLOSURE*

I have an ex that works on a different floor, and she hasn't seen me since our break up, 25lbs heavier. I would like to look great if and when she does.

This is my new favorite post on this site! :roflmao:

It is very refreshing to hear about a man who cares about how he looks. I like it when people put some effort into their appearance.

Congratulations on your weight loss.

If I'm in my scrubs....they're sexy ;)

Best answer.

Go to the scrub store and try on a bunch of styles. Buy a set each of the two styles you think you look best in. Take them home, and wear them around a bit, maybe even mix and match. You should get a combo that grows on you. Take that pair to a tailor/seamstress, have them measure you and do some alterations. Wear that tailored set around the house for a couple days, make any adjustments.

I do this to my scrubs because I'm very tall and muscular (6'6" and 250 lbs). There's a little old lady in town that will do my alterations for $10 per top, $7 per bottom. I can typically get a year out of a set of scrubs, so the cost is very low. I prefer Carhart pants, because the brand is manly, plus I really like the pocket and waistband configuration. Wink brand tops have uniquely designed arm holes/sleeves that reduces rise when you raise your arms.

There is no sexy scrub. There just isn't. But if you combine your new found fitness with a properly fitted set of scrubs, you'll turn her head without trouble. Add in some fresh kicks, clean haircut, and a new fatty G-Shock (or whatever you prefer), and you'll get that double take.

Amidst all the depressing/stressful situations we encounter, we may at least look sexy!

I had to check to make sure this was a real post. Scrubs are for function, if you want "sexy" scrubs you're in the wrong line of work. Maybe you should look into something like "Magic Mike"-esque.

Please. Vanity is a human trait and by no means unnatural. He isn't asking how to attract his female coworkers like some people have asked on this forum before. To want to look good in what one is wearing is completely normal.

OP, I'm a male and I wear Koi scrubs. They fit very well. Alternatively Wonderflex is good too.

Wrong. I am a sucker for scrubs AND uniforms.

Which is why I clicked.

As a fitness buff, I hear you. Get some Cherokees. They always look great on us. Always feel free to ask your questions honestly , openly, and in a respectable manner. Folks that respond negatively may have their own issues that they are resolving. That is what these type forums are for. Kudos to you for your new found fitness! Great job.

I'm so old I remember the brouhaha over wearing "pants-suits"; and back then they HAD to be white. I always thought they looked like a pair of old man's pajamas. Hated 'em. And if you were wearing scrubs, you either worked in the OR....or you got something nasty spilled on you but had to finish out your shift. And, no kidding, they did inventory of the hospital-supplied scrubs. If you weren't OR, you actually had to have the supervisor sign them out to you, and make sure you returned them!

What I don't like about the cheap scrubs is the boxy-square hang and fit. Not at all flattering....or comfortable. Generic.

If I'd just lost a lot of weight, I'd definitely look into getting my scrubs tailored to my bod. Not tight, just well-fitting.

It ain't really about looking 'sexy'.....it's about looking CLASSY!

I never knew guys like to think of themselves as sexy, thought that was a girl thing.

You really never thought that men would want to look sexually appealing? Really? They're human. They have the same feelings and needs as women.

PS I think one lesson coming out of this thread is that more men should learn to sew. My husband is very good at it. He makes himself vests, coats, even a couple kilts. He can make everything look the way he likes on himself, because he makes it. He usually gets cheap fabric to practice with first, then makes the real thing. He's made seat covers for his motorcycle, too. He's teaching one of our daughters and she made herself and her baby sister dresses. Altering scrubs would be less than an afternoon's work for him. Heck, he could probably make me a set in a weekend if I asked.

Thank God!

I mean, yes, I concur.

I like scrubs all around. I like the way we all look in scrubs, and now I have the choice to wear real clothes or scrubs I still choose the scrubs. They feel/look nursey to me.
