Sexy male scrubs

Published

Pardon the attention grabbing headline, but I have a frivolous question about men's scrubs. I'm a guy (as is obvious from the title), a nursing student, and I work in a local hospital as a clinical tech/nursing assistant/patient care tech, what have you. I've always had the cheapest durable scrubs, but over the last 3 & 1/2 months, I've lost 25lbs, with 10 more to go for my fitness goal, and for the first time, in like forever, I'm looking kinda... well... hot.

I need to change out my entire wardrobe, but I'd also like to look attractive in scrubs. Not just for work, but I volunteer frequently too, and I'm trying to live it up (seriously, never had this going for me before...), and I'd like to be attractive in scrubs as well. What are good brands and styles that provide some added sex appeal while remaining professional?

*FULL DISCLOSURE*

I have an ex that works on a different floor, and she hasn't seen me since our break up, 25lbs heavier. I would like to look great if and when she does.

Um yeah. Most young nurses can't be bothered to hem their pants so they aren't all nasty chewed up looking on the bottoms, NOONE I know is getting them tailored to show off their 25 year old, pre-baby body!!

Probably not. Scrubs are expensive enough as it is, no way does anyone I work with pay extra to have them tailored.

That being said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to look your best at work. Male or female. Heck, I applaud it!

OP, if there is a uniform store anywhere around you go there and try on different brands/styles until you find that magic combination of function and flattering fit.

An account created just so you can poll how best to make your EX jealous of your new look? Wow, AN has sunk to a new low. Where has professionalism gone? I sure do miss it....

Pathetic.

Just be confident in anything you are wearing

I actually appreciate this thread. I'm not a superficial person, but do believe you need to look good when you're at work...especially in a professional setting like a hospital. I've seen way too many guys wearing cheap and boxy off-the-rack suits and they look terrible. So don't see anything wrong with a guy who wants to look better in scrubs. I don't know if getting them fully tailored is the way to go, just try all the brands and find something that you're happy with.

Pathetic.

See, when the OP said "pardon me, I have a frivolous question"; well, maybe stop reading at THAT point, so you aren't disgusted by the rest of the thread.

Congrats on your weight loss! I don't blame you one bit for wanting to look good at work. When you look good, you feel good! I think if you used the word "nice" instead of "sexy" in your title, you wouldn't be taking such a beating. ;)

People are taking this thread too seriously. He mentioned right up front that it was not a deep, serious thread! It's just a little bit of fun, and a chance to give himself a little pat on the back!

Probably not. Scrubs are expensive enough as it is, no way does anyone I work with pay extra to have them tailored.

Good, I must work in a narcissistic hospital then, a LOT of young female nurses get their scrubs tailored where I work. I hear them talking about it. I thought about having my flight suit tailored but decided I needed room for growth LOL :D

I think all genuinely attractive staffers should be required to wear scrubs that really help display their assets - hospitals are dreary places & a little eye candy would really help raise morale! Do it for the common good.

You said "ASSets" huh, huh huh :D

I don't know about you guys but I do alot of bending and lifting all shift and I prefer a loose fit and big so there's no binding (say no to crack-right). I believe scrubs were designed to be more functional than form- its funny how things evolve. I get my scrubs off the cart in the locker room.
