I guess even if some people end up going to jail over Trump's shenanigans the conservatives have won their long-sought prize and they will consider it worth the cost.

I heard this heart-breaking story on NPR this morning:

The mother-to-be had to wait until cessation of fetal heart activity, or she showed signs of serious infection to end a pregnancy that had no chance of viability. 

This is a prime example of why the government should not practice health care.

I don’t even know what to say.  
The sheer torture of it all, just abominable. What are we even doing as HCPs? I’m serious 

Talk about psychological damage..

Talk about psychological damage.. 

Just one story that will be happening over and over again because some people just want to punish women for having sex.  There's no other reason for this deliberature torture that can only happen to a woman.

Hmm.  I thinking of all the times I've heard "name one person who advocates for late-term abortions", or "wants open borders".

Can you provide an example of someone who want to punish women for having sex?

All the men I know would definitely not want women to be discouraged from having sex.

When a legislator is asked about frozen embryos in fertility clinics and his answer is "That's different. Nobody's pregnant" one has to think it's not about the "product of conception" being a highly valued life but about controlling women.

Even in Alabama, Senator Clyde Chambliss, who sponsored the bill that effectively banned abortion in the state, has no problem with discarding the embryos produced by IVF. In his words: “The egg in the lab doesn’t apply. It’s not in a woman. She’s not pregnant.”

He might have followed up by saying, “But at least she wants to be, as she should.”

I think Subee was generalizing,  not trying to oversimplify. The point being this is about women, the punishment of women.  You may not want to see it that way but this article is a bold show of force of said punishment.  We can argue this case infinite, bottom line is this is about the affects and effects this will have on women. And yes sex is a prerequisite (most of the time)

Just imagine the tactic:  women witholding sex until the male legislators support them by allowing abortions.  I've already stated before that Afghanistan would be a successful country if only women were allowed to carry arms:)

Some women who sell that particular commodity*. Sadly, some men don't care if a particular woman withholds, they'll move on to one who won't withhold

 

*not necessarily a formal prostitute, but bartering happened, and still does happen
