Frontliner, 11 year veteran RN, in the Emergency Department. For the last year and a half, I have been exposed to so much Covid I feel I'm so blessed. I have had it splash in my face, eyes and mouth. I have taken antibody test and just can't seem to test pos for any antibodies ... which rules me out for an asymptomatic "Super Spreader!" If my employer mandates the Covid Vaccine I will be looking for RN jobs that do not require the vaccine. I'm employed in North Carolina but willing to travel for Jobs that do not require the Vaccine. It's my body and my choice. This thread is for links and discussion of RN jobs that do not require the Covid vaccine. Stay safe all! You could die tomorrow from a drunk driver. So don't fear death, I do not, and you should not either. Fear what happens after death.

I already developed my opinion about you.
One thing you have to admit though. The shortage of ED RN's is killing way more patients than Covid ever could. No one in their right mind, left or right, could deny this. Sad

Ready to bounce soon as Government over reach comes our way. It's a shame because there is already a shortage healthcare across our country. Only more patients will suffer. SMH
You set yourself apart with your comments and opinions.
Your preconceived notions about the AN platform is irrelevant to this topic but it's interesting that your remarks about vaccination so quickly referenced political leanings. It makes one think that your personal vaccination decision was based upon partisan politics more than the science or data.
What "side" are you on? The side that pushes back against common sense mitigation strategies and science during adangerous pandemic, preferring political rhetoric and commentary?
Do you work for the federal government? No? In that case, the only vaccine mandate affecting you is the mandate implemented by a private health employer. Calling government overreach just further solidifies the reality that your vaccine refusal is based in partisan political animus, not science or evidence.
Unvaccinated nurses represent a small fraction of the work force and their inability to work in vaccine mandated settings doesn't take them out of the work force. It simply limits where they might find work. Perhaps their specialty unit day shift positions are going to be opened and become a calling card for other nurses who would like an opportunity.
If potential patient suffering was your priority you'd vaccinate. Apparently your priority is to remain unvaccinated.

I bet you have a citation to support that claim. Surely you didn't just make it up for effect...maybe you heard it on the radio or is it something that someone said on a social media post?

I've gotta know the significance of this. Please share.
?
We've been calling it the ED/emergency department for a long time. It seems to be big health system preferred lingo. Everything done by our big, illustrious healthcare systems is way too important to refer to it using diminutive language such as "room."

Almost makes one wonder if the OP wasn’t fibbing just a wee bit when he said that this thread was made so that people could exchange information on jobs for unvaccinated nurses…

I bet you have ?
I’m not sure why you’re blaming your inability to remember what you wrote in your first post on me though… I would have thought that it was quite obvious why I wrote ”we already know”… Because YOU SAID IT. Duh.

If we didn't have Covid (made much worst by the previous administration), perhaps less nurses would be exiting. It's a vicious cycle. Is it possible that if Covid numbers plummeted tomorrow, more people would breathe a sigh of relief and stay where they are? Oh, but wait. Everyone would have to be vaccinated for that to happen.....

Gravedigger. Not an RN job but the clients won't care and you can face death as much as you like:)

I'm about as conservative as you can get, and I have to say that I agree with everything that's been posted in response to your posts.
If you are in NC, I'm sure you're aware that most, if not all by now, of the major health systems have either mandated, or are in the process of mandating the COVID vaccination. And, no doubt most of the smaller systems will as well.
I can't find the article now, but read that only 20 Duke employees ultimately did not get either vaccinated or were granted an exemption. And, I suspect when it plays out at UNC, the numbers will be comparable.
As I posted earlier, it seems that many that are opposed to the vaccination can talk-the-talk, but not many are willing to walk-the-walk.
Best wishes.

Vaccines that go to 50% efficacy after just a few months don't sound to good to me, but if you feel you want to take the vaccine, to each his own.
So will you sign a waiver that when you get ill from "being splashed by Covid '?, you weren't kneeling at the time ? and you will not seek out a hospital, but proceed to the nearest farm store or maybe keep a supply of bleach IV solution handy ??
You will also agree to pay the bills yourself instead of your insurance provider or us' LIBERALS ' will turn our Jewish lasers directly on you and maybe the intense light will cure you like trump's sunlight regime ????!
