Random Thoughts about School Nursing not juicy enough for their own topic start here!
My mantra lately: "Wash your HANDS, go back to CLASS and cover your COUGH!"
Arggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ready to pull my hair out........
I have an open word document that I have tried to edit since 8 Am. EVERY bleeping time I start, the phone rings, a kid comes in or, when I'm on the phone the office is overhead paging me because I am not picking up the phone.
Why, because a HS kid ONCE AGAIN, having a little cellular device in their hand, took it upon his sweet little self to get dismissed, and mom was waiting out front!!!!!!!!!!!
She doesn't work and really has nothing better to do. When I called, she she said he had a sore throat and a fever this AM but wanted to come in....FML
I have a girls weekend and it will not be dismissal time soon enough. I need to NOT go out to my car to as there are adult bevvies in there.....
Blah!

Great weekend! Lots of love and support from my besties!! Back to reality today!!!
I had a student come Thursday morning after falling in her flat sandals on a wet, leaf covered walkway and injuring her wrist. It was swollen and bruised and it was her dominant hand. I iced it and called mom, told her my concern. Dad came to pick her up an hour later, advised to see pediatrician or urgent care that day. She was not in class Friday or Monday and no real response when I texted to follow up Thursday afternoon. Got an email Monday that she was in urgent care at that time and may have a growth plate fracture. Four days after injury, 2 days out of school. Really?

Far, I'm sorry you had a bad day yesterday. But I laughed right out loud that you screamed when you turned and saw the skeletons. Thanks for that.
