President Biden thread

Published

Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

Not my premise,  but pretty much, yeah.

It's the theory being flogged by every right-wing venue I've seen so far. My opinion is it ain't necessarily so.

I'm surprised you agree with that post.

The Trump tactic of stating speculation and lies as if they are agreed upon fact is modeled by Trump voters in these threads.  It's remarkable.

I'm glad your dad was able to have another 22 years of life.

I'm not sure what your point is at it relates to this story.

Well, you said, "someone of his stature likely would have received regular prostate-specific antigen tests " as if that meant he would have known about the cancer sooner. I was merely pointing out the fact that he might not have had *abnormal* PSAs. Then, admittedly, I went a little off-topic. But my point still stands. And, honestly, I'm not worried about pinning down the dates of any symptoms or diagnoses.

"Fairy smut book"?  What does that even mean?

I going to go out on a limb and say you don't believe any of it. Why do you believe that book lacks credibility?

The reason I directed my question to another member is that had I just thrown the question to the group in general, there would be a high probability of getting a comment like this.

I know you believe, without a scintilla of doubt that Joe Biden is completely incapacitated by dementia, and was unable to perform any of his duties as Chief Executive.

Nevertheless, it's apparent to me that:

You did not carefully read my post, specifically to the timing and reasoning of both the trying to pinpoint the exact moment abnormal cells began to proliferate, (no matter what any particular doctor says on television), and when they decided to share that diagnosis with the public.

I can't answer your question about believing "any of it".  Any of what? I understand that Trump supporters have attempted to connect the aggressive prostate cancer with their evidence free, unschooled diagnoses of "dementia" and "dementia cover-up".  The cover-up claim was necessary to explain why nobody, not his MAGA enemies, not Putin, not the suddenly enlightened reporters people who's only job it is to report on  the Biden White House. sounded the alarm until the last few months of his term that there is no captain on the bridge!

The "fairy smut" term was coined by his granddaughter Naomi Biden, but his family is part of the cover-up, right? The entire Biden family just doesn't care enough about our country to tell the truth.

Well said.

The sarcasm in your last sentence was appropriate.

I choked on my iced coffee when I read "fairy smut book". I have no clue what Biden's granddaughter meant but to me it's M/M romantasy. Gawd I love the Irish!

I'm not sure what you're trying to say.  Maybe if I knew what soecific comment you're talking about.

You've overstated my position, but it is my belief he was not fit to be president.  Do you think he was?

You were referring to the most recent book, I thought.  By Tapper.  It seems you don't find any of it to be credible.  I'm curious as to why?

It doesn't matter much who came of with the phrase.  You used it as a descriptor, so would have thought you knew what it means.  Apparently it refers to a genre of fiction that has something to do with fairies having sex.  Makes your comment seem a bit peculiar.

The Biden family, Joe in particular,  has a decades long history of lying to the country.

Wrong.  See my post to Beerman.

Given that androgen deprivation therapy is a 1st line treatment for aggressive metastatic prostate CA, this does come with a few potential side effects... the below is from: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC1831539/

Quote

These acute adverse events include hot flashes, loss of libido, and erectile dysfunction...

The chronic adverse events associated with LHRH agonists include musculoskeletal, hematologic, and cardiovascular events. There is increasing awareness that men are prone to developing osteoporosis and related fractures with advancing age...

Progressive muscle loss has been associated with declining testosterone levels in men...

Hormonal therapy has also been shown to cause neurologic impairment, manifested by decreased cognitive function...

While we don't know if he has developed osteoporosis, hot flashes or ED, Joe has suffered falls, has wandered about, has shown signs of cognitive impairment at times... Was this all from being quietly put on ADT? Don't know. When he was first diagnosed hasn't been made public yet. What I do know is that POTUS is closely surveilled medically. I would be quite surprised if the medical team wasn't aware of at least a prostate CA possibility for a long time as well as some cognitive decline from when he was VP, as a baseline level.

Certainly now that this diagnosis is public, he'll almost certainly be on ADT and will have all the risks associated with it and other therapies too. So, he'll have to be careful not to fall... I hope he improves and lives out a relatively uneventful life from here on out.

I bet the symptoms of a intentionally concealed prostate cancer were possibly the reason that Biden was a very effective and successful president.  That must be it.

'Jake Tapper Compares Joe Biden Health 'Cover-Up' to Watergate"

"Tapper replied: "The next line is: 'It is an entirely separate scandal.' It is a scandal. It is, without question. And maybe even worse than Watergate in some ways, because Richard Nixon was in control of his faculties when he was not drinking. So the idea that, yeah, we don't mean to exonerate [Biden]."

He also noted that the mention of Watergate followed an excerpt in the book in which former Watergate prosecutor Archibald Cox had explained "how presidents get surrounded by people who have a vested interest in keeping that president propped up."

Well, I'm sorry you feel my comment was peculiar, but I was quite certain the person I was replying to would understand the reference, since I've only seen or heard one person use the phrase in recent times, and that was Naomi Biden. Perhaps we are seeking news and current events in altogether different places. This is her entire statement.

I do think the definition of "smut" encompasses more categories than just fairies having sex, although the last person I heard actually say the word in general conversation was my grandmother, and she passed away in 1969.
