Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.
No need to start a new topic. Trump's mental illness and cognitive decline are relevant in very many threads because it affects so much of American life experience. Speculation about a Trumpian coverup of mental health decline or specific diagnosis by Biden doesn't really impact our daily lives. For some reason, it's forefront in conservative circles though, isn't it?

What is a "shell game"?
And reinforce the denial the tactic is designed to create? Isn't that what got us into this mess in the first place? It's my job as a far lefty to challenge attempts to gerrymander context in order to distort reality. In this case it's the cover-up of Trump's own declining condition.
The shell game is that street hustle where an object is hidden under one of three "shells" which are rapidly shuffled around while the hustler takes bets on which shell hides the object when the shuffling stops.

Response: Trump is obviously mental ill and in decline.
Makes sense to someone I suppose.
You are mischaracterizing what I wrote.
Biden covering something up is purely and simply a right wing speculation and talking point. All of that noise has a purpose. There's no evidence that there's a Biden coverup just like there wasn't evidence of a Biden crime family just like there was no evidence that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump. All of it helps to keep Trump supporters focused on things other than Trump and his unqualified and corrupt cabinet/advisors.

We will agree to disagree and it's not just you I'm speaking of.
I think the idea that Biden was in decline and that it was covered up is a legitimate topic that should be left alone if someone here wants to discuss it because it made headline news around the world. Even if that person doesn't talk about Trump's decline and even if they want to distract from Trump's decline by talking about Biden (I don't think that).
Thanks for the explanation about the shell game.

And, Biden is talked about to distract from Trump. Even though what's new about the Biden talk is that it's now also coming from the left. The right has been talking about it for a few years.
Makes sense to someone.

I agree that changes in Biden's mental acuity is a legitimate topic. I disagree that the context is irrelevant to that discussion. Cover-up? So what else is new? I didn't have much to say about it because the guy is permanently out of power and no one was actually describing any damage done to anything but Biden's own dignity. Then I read shockingly ignorant speculations about his medical diagnosis. It made me wonder why actual practicing nurses would go down that road, especially when Biden's decisions are no longer a factor in our politics. The rest is history.
In my view, context matters. We can agree to disagree about what context is relevant and what it means.
Come on now. We all know that the Biden team didn't coverup Biden's mental decline. They covered up his death.

QuoteLate on Saturday night, the 78-year-old president shared a post from a small, pro-Trump account which read: "There is no #JoeBiden—executed in 2020."
It goes on to say that the real Biden was replaced by "clones doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless entities," and that Democrats "don't know the difference."
What You Need To Know
These Biden people were really talented. All this AND a successful, well ranked presidency.

ETA: I just found out that this whole discussion is moot, since Biden was actually executed in 2020.
ETA: I wrote this before tmb's comment was posted. GMTA, I guess.

And I don't think it's fair to keep silent about an obvious (to me) shell game.
