Hi and welcome to AllNurses.com!
Don't worry about not being in school for so long....many are in the same boat.
Just have the determination it takes to do well!
Good luck!! :)

Me too. I am just starting fresh also. I know it will be a real challenge, but it will be worth it when we get there. Good luck Chrissy.

Welcome Chrissy..you have to stay focus, read before class, take good notes, if possible find a group to study with (not social) and study.
I am sure you knew all that..................I wish you the best of luck
I am also a prenursing student, accepted for September 06...I cannot wait

It's scary but just keep going. I'm a prenursing student too and have found everything a little overwhelming but can't let the unknown keep you from doing what you have decided to do! Good luck!!
Melissa... scared too!

Welcome chrissy! I'm 29 and also scared like *** since I haven't been in school for 7 years & haven't taken bio/chem since high school 12-13 years ago. but I figure all things must happen for a reason. if I had gone to school for nursing right away I may have really hated it then, and I probably wouldn't be married to my husband.
good luck!!!

I'm 34 and just finished my prerequisites. Don't be afraid, just keep up with the material. Ask questions during your instructor's office hours, in fact, go to office hours as much as you can. I found that questions that others were asking were sometimes the ones I needed to review anyway. Also, I taped the lectures in case there was something I missed or didn't understand.
Good luck!
