I took my exam this morning in 2 hours, I had 75 questions, mostly priority and teaching. I definitely took my time and made myself take a break after an hour so. I studied Hurst and Saunders book. My school offered ERI but I don't think that really helped me. When I finished I had a good feeling but then I got to my car and started looking up answers to questions and started counting the ones I had missed which made me feel more unsure. Still waiting with crossed fingers!

Specializes in med/surg.

I did 75 questions

I took about 1 hour 15 in total

I used Saunders, Lippincott, Incredibly Easy, Susanne4's program, Mosby's on-line CAT test & did Kaplan's 1 day live course!! Well I am from the UK & qualified way back in 1992 so I had much to learn!

The school question is N/A to me for the above mentioned reason!

I waited 52.5 sweaty hours for my result.

When I came out I thought it was the most horrible thing I had ever had to do. I kept thinking back to the questions & even though they were ofthe type everyone says means you're doing fine I just couldn't be positive. I kept thinking about how only 48% of foreign trained nurses pass. I was sure that because I tested in London they would find a way to make it harder to pass etc - I KNOW that's not true but I was feeling pretty scared!

This was my first attempt & I'm really glad I don't have to do it again but if I did I would invest in the Kaplan 5 day live course because all my questions were like those on the 1 day course I did.

1. how many questions did you take on nclex? 75 questions in 1.5 hours

2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? kaplan, lippincott, but more focus on kaplan

3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? eri

4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? two weeks

5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? certain failed, looked up answers after, bad idea, but realized i missed so many. or the two i was stuck between i picked the wrong one.

6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yes

Specializes in ER, ICU, Cardiac, Med-Surg.

1. How many questions did you take on NCLEX?

75 questions

2. What study materials did you use? Did you take a test review course?

Saunders Comprehensive Review, NCSBN online class. My school offered the ERI review course - 9I only attended the first 2 days out of 4 though)

3. Did your SON offer any testing (ERI, ATI, HESI)?

Yes, ERI testing was required Q semester

4. How long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting?

2 days

5. What were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)?

pretty sure I had passed

6. Was this your first attempt at NCLEX?

yes, first time

Good luck to those who are waiting and ++++ thoughts for those who are waiting on results!!

5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? i was in complete disbelief when i left - right now i am feeling like i failed. i studied a lot and there was no way i could prepare. i also made the mistake in looking up the few questions i could remember only to find i got them wrong. at this point all i can do is wait but i am already telling people that i failed. i know i should have more confidence but i left feeling like i did not know one single answer.

6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yes and i hope for it to be my last although i don't feel good about it!
