Parents STILL Sending Sick Kids to School

Updated:   Published

This is so frustrating. It's like we never experienced the pandemic. Parents still drop off sick kids (who pass the temp screening) with coughs, sore throats, headaches, sinus congestion, etc...   And of course, they're nearly impossible to reach.

I really thought that they'd 'get it' at this point.. but apparently not.

I've had parents try to argue our city travel quarantine with me.  What do you want me to do?  Call up the mayor?  This isn't my choice.  I'm enforcing a policy.

LOL!  Add that to the X-ray vision, crystal ball, operating room, full set of orthopedic equipment, etc. that a school nurse is expected to have---direct access to the mayor! ?

I love when I send a kid home to quarantine and the parent asks “he can still go to football practice, right?”.

It's a major city too so maybe I can try to tweet at the mayor? ?

If stupidity could be used in lieu of fossil fuels there'd be no global warming.

Had a teacher +Covid send son to school "you wouldn't have known if he hadn't mentioned it"

Total ***.  He was also at the district headquarters when he called me.

Love those comments. "I don't feel well, and my mom said not to tell you but...."?
