Hi, I wanted to open this topic for anyone that applied to OHSU's ABSN or ABSN-DNP 2022 programs!

Has anyone heard back about the ABSN to DNP PNP program?

I can tell you that the panel was super nice. A couple of the panel members were super quiet compared to the other 3. One of them even said she had no questions which to be honest only made me more nervous. I can honestly say I didn't do well in the interview, I let my nervousness get the best of me. Although I feel I had more than enough time to prepare I am never ready to answer questions about leisure time LOL I'm pretty boring at my age. I think maybe they ask to make sure you have a go to activity that helps you de-stress? The questions seemed that they were more aimed to get to know you outside of school and work but for me personally, school, work and my daughter are my every day life. ? (told you I was boring) LOL

My interview was a panel of 5 and they each asked about two questions, they were all very nice. I didn't feel like I did very well either. I was surprised by the questions, I was prepared for the usual why our program, why nursing, why PMHNP but the questions were mostly about my personality, strengths and weaknesses. They designed some of the questions to catch you off guard like I was asked to teach them something I know a lot about. I thought they said the decision would come today but I must have misunderstood.

Does anyone know for the OHSU Ashland ABSN if we will be with other candidates while interviewing? I know it will be a panel interview, but I’m wondering if there will be other potential students interviewing at the same time

I'd love to know too! I think the mock interview on the 28th will probably address that. 

I poked around in last year's thread on this topic and all I could find was this post from Le-Chatlier on March 15 mentioning that "The diversity coordinator provided this year's interview/acceptance details before we were put into our breakout rooms. Previous years, they accepted 28 ABSN applicants and 4 ABSN-DNP/FNP applicants for a total of 32. The reason for this year's decrease was not disclosed."   

So it sounds like it could be a larger talk and then smaller breakout groups?  Or possibly they're doing it differently this year?

Does anyone know when they stop sending out interview invites or if they will email us that we didn’t get an interview. Is their Someone I can contact.

OHSU ABSN sent out an email saying this too

"March-April: Once applications are processed by the admissions team, the admissions committee will begin to make interview selections. Interview dates and format are listed on our interview dates webpage. If you do not receive a call or email after your program’s interview dates have passed, this will likely mean that we will not be moving forward with your application. "
