Thank you for sharing that. It does seem strange that in a profession that tries to be non-judgmental and understands addiction as a disease and values privacy and confidentiality and encourages the disclosure of mistakes in order to improve systemic problems, that the response to people who have been disciplined would be so oriented towards shaming and public humiliation. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

Hi all! I'm an RN student writing a short paper for my leadership class about ethics and have chosen to focus on the reporting of nurses by state BON who receive disciplinary action. I know in my own state (Oregon) that a list of names and offenses is published in our quarterly magazine; and of course, there are plenty of details online - by looking up license verification and results of board of nursing hearings. I'd love to know whether other states also publish print and online versions of nurses and their disciplinary actions? Also what are your thoughts on the balance between transparency and protecting public safety, vs protecting the privacy of nurses? And if you've received disciplinary action, how has it affected your career and personal life? Thanks!!

Congratulations! I was waitlisted at Ashland, so will be headed to Linfield, my other option. I'm already in the Portland area, so that'll make things easier.

Absolutely!! I would *love* to write a nice little essay question. I'm super nervous! If anyone has a morning interview, I'd love to hear how it goes (not the questions, just the experience). Mine is in the afternoon tomorrow.

I have a friend who applied for Summer, but was accepted to the fall term. (I applied to Ashland so have an interview and more waiting before I hear!)

I got in too! OHSU Ashland won't be doing interviews until March 11 and presumably a week or two after that before they send out offers. I hope it'll be before the April 1 reply date!

I'd love to know too! I think the mock interview on the 28th will probably address that. I poked around in last year's thread on this topic and all I could find was this post from Le-Chatlier on March 15 mentioning that "The diversity coordinator provided this year's interview/acceptance details before we were put into our breakout rooms. Previous years, they accepted 28 ABSN applicants and 4 ABSN-DNP/FNP applicants for a total of 32. The reason for this year's decrease was not disclosed." So it sounds like it could be a larger talk and then smaller breakout groups? Or possibly they're doing it differently this year?

My application portal is pretty blank. It says "Welcome" and my name and ID number. And also the admissions counselor info on the side.

Yes - I think the consensus is that everyone probably got one. I would assume that it was sent out in error since all 84 emails were on the invite and it implied that we had been invited to interview. It looks like it was sent out by a student, not by OHSU.
