Hi, I wanted to open this topic for anyone that applied to OHSU's ABSN or ABSN-DNP 2022 programs!

There were several questions asked in the DNP FNP interview. Maybe 6-8 questions. They asked questions on why this program specifically, how I will be prepared to be in this program, why I chose this specialty, a situation of conflict, a situation where someone had different values than me, and my communication style. They give you about 5 minutes at the end where you can ask them questions. There were only 2 people interviewing me. Hope this helps!

Curious if anyone got the mock interview invite? I got one last week but have not seen an actual interview invite yet. Wondering if they send them out to everyone who applied or just the ones that are getting an invite? I applied for thAshland ABSN program for a Summer start.

Yes - I think the consensus is that everyone probably got one.  I would assume that it was sent out in error since all 84 emails were on the invite and it implied that we had been invited to interview.  It looks like it was sent out by a student, not by OHSU.

My interview was a panel of 5 people and each of them asked me roughly 1-2 questions so I would guess ~8 questions. I felt like the interview was designed to make me think on my feet a bit and to get a sense of me as a person more so than my qualifications. I would recommend spending some time reflecting on strengths and weaknesses prior to the interview.

Hello! I emailed OHSU asking these questions but have not heard back yet so I figured I would try here.

1.Does anyone know if the tuition costs is the ABSN + DNP program. I was trying to figure out if the DNP program tuition includes getting the BSN or not. 

2. Do accepted DNP students take the first portion (ABSN) with the traditional ABSN students.

Not assuming anyone here knows but was just curious if you did. Thanks!

I don't know the facts but from what I have seen through their site, the ABSN tuition is separate from the DNP tuition. I would also assume that accepted DNP students take the first portion with the traditional ABSN students. I only assume this since someone posted earlier that they only have 7 spots total for the direct entry program. I would love to hear what they tell you though, I hope you can share with the rest of us ?

I applied to Portland ABSN for Summer start and received the interview invite just over a week ago.
