Hi, I wanted to open this topic for anyone that applied to OHSU's ABSN or ABSN-DNP 2022 programs!

I know I kind of wanted to ask what their definition of the end of the day was but I felt like I was already being annoying hahaha I'm so happy for it to be over too!

I received my rejection email today-not surprised as I didn’t get an interview invite. For those waiting to hear about PMHNP, can you share what your nursing experience /practice area is? I’m definitely planning on applying next cycle just want to know what I can do to better my application.

Hi! I don't have direct nursing experience but have worked at a local clinic for 7.5 years. During this time I have had experience working with low income families and individuals. I have worked as a community health worker which gave me experience in case management and connecting people to local resources as well as working with different organizations like IYS, PEDAL (they do evaluations on kids to test for disabilities), local school IEP services, and other organizations. I've been an operations supervisor for pediatric department and dental which gave me some experience in leadership. Currently I'm a clinic manager for this same fqhc. ? I didn't have the best GPA (3.15 I think) so I can definitely say they do consider applicants in a holistic approach and see the whole picture rather than just GPA. As I mentioned before I don't think I did great on my interview but just getting the opportunity to interview has built up my self esteem in this area LOL I hope that even if I don't get in to this program, maybe I still get an opportunity to Linfield - I applied for the Summer start.

I got an email that I was waitlisted today for PMHNP. Too be honest, I'm surprised! I was accepted everywhere else I applied including some big name Ivy leagues. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back and congrats to everyone who was admitted!

Our program must be really behind. They technically have one more day before the month is over. The suspense is killing me!

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and assume that both you and @Jflower4 were accepted into the program LOL I received an email yesterday evening where I was told that I was not selected ? still hoping to have the opportunity through linfield and maybe apply to the PMHNP program at OHSU next year. Best of luck to who ever is still waiting!!

I think it’s a PNP thing though, all other programs I believe had heard back. There’s only 4 slots for the PNP program so I’m not sure why that would take longer? Oh well. Anyway, sorry you didn’t get in this year, sounds like you have great experience and can hopefully get in elsewhere! Good luck to you!!

I applied for the FNP program but I haven’t heard anything since my interview (2/3). Did anyone else apply for the same program? Or have info on when we might expect decisions?
