Hey just received my denial email. I was unable to start my program that began this week. Now I will be looking for an entry masters program and reapplying. Better luck next time I guess. Good luck to everyone who's in school now and good luck to those who will be reapplying. I'm glad "the wait" is over for now.

Specializes in Psychiatry, Community, Nurse Manager, hospice.

I got my rejection letter today. I was encouraged to apply for next year. I don't think I will though.

I also got my rejection email today. :( But its alright. Life goes on. :)

I kinda gave up hope when I found out my nursing program type was in the 2nd funding preference group.

Congrats to those of you who are NurseCorps scholars and for those who didn't get it, I'm sure your applications were awesome!

Anyone have any idea when we receive the first stipend/ORC payments?

Best of luck to everyone who did not receive the scholarship! Never be discouraged to pursue your dreams.

The only thing they mentioned about the ORC payment is that it is considered late after November 15th

I spoke with my representative and she told me I should expect to see them at the end of October. I'm guessing it would be the same for you as well. Just make sure your school have the itemized invoice for your tuitions expense and fees.

For those who were wondering...you have to finish your commitment to the Nurse Corps program before applying for the NHSC or the Nurse Corps Loan repayment program. Found out from a Nurse Corps agent today. Hope that helps.

How do I apply for this??

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to know if all public hospitals are included as possible sites to work in. Based on the email that was sent, it seems as if they added extra site options. Like, public hospitals and private non profit acute care facilities.

Hello! I hope everyone's last semester and this new semester is going well! I was wondering if anyone else has received their January stipend yet? I know it is not late until the 15th but I wasn't sure if the break or holidays has slowed down the process?

Thanks :) and again I hope you all are doing well!

I checked last year through the portal and my school, which is a state teaching hospital is an acceptable site to work at!
