  1. Thanks MilliePieRN!
  2. Hello everyone, I am a new to practice RN. Yesterday I had a pt. come in with severe abdominal pain. The doctor was at the bedside and ordered morphine. When I asked the pt. if she had any drug allergies she stated that she didn't have any allergies. She was given morphine 4 mg, then 8 mg. After being given the second dose of morphine, the pt. states that she is allergic to morphine and Ativan. I asked her what happens when she gets morphine and she states that it makes her nauseous. She was given Zofran and I did pt. teaching on the difference between side effects and allergy. Pt. asked if I can take that allergy out of the system so I canceled the allergy on the request of the pt. Thinking in hindsight, I feel like I should not have canceled it. I feel like I should have just documented her symptoms. I want to go back to the hospital and rechart the allergy with the symptoms, but I am so nervous about doing so. Was it the right thing to cancel the allergy? Should I go back and change it in her chart?
  3. You can do it!!! I am 29 with 4 children between 4 and 9. I am 3 months away from finishing at Chamberlain College of Nursing. I had all of my prereqs done before starting. Get as much done at the CC before applying and apply for scholarships. I got the Nurse Corps Scholarship. Good luck! Not old at all!
  4. Thanks MocaPoca!!
  5. Hello Everyone, I wanted to know if all public hospitals are included as possible sites to work in. Based on the email that was sent, it seems as if they added extra site options. Like, public hospitals and private non profit acute care facilities.
  6. They have printouts in the portal "Invoicing Guidelines" "Instructions for your school". I gave them the award letter and the point of contact paper as well. I made a followup appt. for this week just to make sure everything is running smoothly.
  7. I got my participant email. The waiting is finally over. Turned everything into my financial aid office and I will be staying on top of them to make sure everything gets done properly. Good luck everyone and Congratulations to the participants!
  8. BSN program-accelerated
  9. Hopeful30...I have the same question. I have not read about that happening on other forums from previous years. I plan to call on Monday.
  10. I have equifax credit monitoring. Anytime there is an inquiry or account added, etc... They notify me. CREDCO showed up and I called CREDCO and they said that their client was HRSA. Keep checking because it looks like people are getting their finalist emails everyday. They may do another round of credit checks next week.
  11. I prayed for you. Don't lose hope, God always arrives right on time. You will get the money for school. Keep believing.
  12. I am in final review. Are they reviewing the w-4 and enrollment verification? or the entire application? Is this the stage when they are just waiting for SOS to sign off? It says I am not guaranteed an award right now. The wait is still on.
