Nurses have an attitude problem. They are catty, cliquey, think they know-it-all, don't care at all what you think (what they say is always right and final), dislike outsiders, newcomers and change, and most of all, rude. I cannot get along with any of them, which is different from other professions. Before you say "then why don't you choose a different career if you don't like it" in typical nursing rudeness/we are the best, the attitude is not appealing.
That has not been my experience with nurses. Sure, there are some here and there that I don't mess well with, but for the most part, the nurses I've worked with have been great team players and helpful when I was starting at new places.
What situations have you been in with nurses that have led you to believe all of us are as you describe?
We got through a whole page without the "get me some popcorn" comment.
Anyway, to the OP, sorry you had a bad experience somewhere that may have involved a nurse. Might I kindly suggest that you narrow out your paintbrush. Every profession has its negative Nancys, its "catty" element, its "I know more than everyone" group (if you think nurses are bad for this one, just wait until you interact with doctors (!), but, again, not all doctors are that way either). However, the vast majority of nurses are good people who care deeply for their patients. I'm afraid that at this point, you may be a bit to closed minded to see the bounty of good people around you.

If you can't get along with anyone, perhaps it is you who have the problem.
And if you have such an intense dislike for nurses, why did you join a website for nurses? That makes no sense whatsoever.
I hope you feel better having vented your spleen. Since you're clearly so miserable, perhaps you should find another career.
ETA: Dang...I wasted my time on someone who isn't even a nurse.
Young + Unhappy does NOT = license to spew vitriol on others. Or others' profession. Anyone young and unhappy enough to be this aggressive on an online forum deserves what he/she receives.
I don't understand how it even got a rise out of anybody, except I feel sorry for someone so miserable. Makes me count my blessings to have happy kids and be happy/content depending on the day myself.
