I am SO over this Winter here in MA! Kids have had three snow days already so they have to make them up. We are now awaiting a blizzard "Winter Storm Stella" and likely will be closed tomorrow and Wednesday I know there is nothing we can do, but just frustrating. I don't care if my OWN kids have to make up the days, but here at my Charter school, we are already coming in three extra days and now with these other two days, we move into the last week of June, making my Summer break only 5 weeks long (we go back August 1st). Just a HUGE bummer!!!

Yea, Long Island here, and I'm not happy, either. I'm thinking 2 days. We will lose the 2 days after Easter if that is the case.
My kids are already planning jam sessions for their rock band at my house throughout the storm, with all "the fellas" staying over.
Help.

Same here. Except our school musical goes up next week (which I run our tech crew for), so we will miss almost our entire tech week in the space (which is not at our school) if we lose both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Oh, and then we go into the last week of June.
Lousy Smarch weather...

I'm super excited about some snow days this week! :) We've only had one so far. And I want to take my 3 year old sledding! I can totally see why, with as many as you've had, that you wouldn't want to extend even more! May your roads be plowed quickly, and your temperatures stay above freezing! lol

I say boooooo to the storm. I didn't know it's name is Stella. Now I can run into the snow covered streets and do my best Stanley Kowalski as i curse the storm

I can't believe we haven't had any snow days yet this year. We have had plenty of 2 hour lates starts (one today actually), but all of our major blizzards have hit over weekends so far. We have a few makeup days planned into our calendar each year (days off in April/May that we would lose if we had a snow day) so we are good even if we do get a few.

No snow days this year or last year and only 2 delays (both years combined). I'm ready for spring, but if it's going to snow, it should at least be enough to cancel school. We are under a winter storm advisory tonight through tomorrow night, but I refuse to get my hopes up.

We have not had a snow day in the last 2 years. I will be doing a happy dance if we get one or two!

We have not had any snow (or other emergency) days this year. I'm hoping we don't because we are all set to be out the Friday before Memorial Day and I'd rather not have to come in that Tuesday after (or longer).
Here in Chicagoland, we have a little bit of snow on the ground from last night but there was no measurable snowfall in January or February.
Uh, thanks, Global Warming... *(she said uneasily)*

I know I'm not a school nurse but, can I jump in to commiserate ?
We are on day 5, maybe 6 if Wednesday is closed since we are now under a blizzard warning. They were closed on Friday ... for 1/2 inch of snow. No ice. Just ... 1/2 ... of ... an ... inch ... of snow.
My dear son invited 3 of his bestest friends to stay over. So. They're here. Eating all my bread and drinking my milk. And they found the hidden Girl Scout thin mints.
I already cracked open the wine.
Stay safe everyone.
