New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

World Registration

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Specializes in ER/ Radiology Nurse.
Payment commences when you get employed. I guess they are confident that those they send for bridging course will in time be employed after they get registered. i have spoken to at least 5 nurses who availed of this program and who have been there since 2011 confirmed that they are still paying what they borrowed when they got work, and the agency also helped them look for employers.
hi tokiya! just want to ask, which state did Philman send your docs?

Hello everyone!:)

Can anybody here share any information about accommodation near ETEA? Please do help me on this since I'm looking for a possible place to stay there. Thank you.

Hi tokiya! It's nice to know that someone who signed up with philman is in this thread. I too signed up with them and like you received the confirmation of receipt from AHPRA. Can you pm me your contact number so we can update each other :D God bless us all!

I'd love to be on an earlier intake but May/June is too early for me even if I will be given the chance to be admitted. I'm considering the time I have to process my visa which entails what? a minimum of 4 weeks? So just to be on the safe side, I'm OK with AUG/Sept. :) I'm pretty sure you'll get by just fine.

hi guys,

has anyone heard from ahpra-wa lately? when will this waiting end? huhuhu :sniff:

patience dear. god has plans. just wait. :)

Did anyone receive word from AAON yet? Regarding June intake

No, still waiting for AAON's offer letter for June intake.

Hi, I agree patience is the key. but, time is of the essence any delay might hamper all our australian dream coz of jobs filling up too fast. I myself waiting for this LOE for quite some time now. I'm getting impatient & nervous as days goes by, especially after I heard my friend from iloilo saying that his neighbor came back home w/out job after the bridging prgram. I don't want to be negative but that's the reality. They say it's a delaying tactics from AHPRA at the same time accepting applicants for money making. why they still keep on accepting applicants for registration if there's no more job to be filled. I still believe in destiny if you cannot find them make them. God bless to all!
