Hello...I am an RN (18 years) and I am returning to school to get my BSN. I need help with a research project. What I need is a list of any "music videos" (not movies, not informational videos..MUSIC VIDEOS) that have nurses portrayed in them (positively or negatively). I also need a list of any "VIDEO GAMES" that have nurses in them.

The one song that comes to mind is by Blink 182 and the song is What's My Age Again. It portrays a Media star in a nurses uniform.

Glad you found "Allnurses.com"!

How about watching either (or both) VHS1 or MTV for the next couple of days? There's bound to be a video or two that portrays a nurse character. Sadly, these "female nurse" characters tend to be portrayed as some kind of sex object. . . a stigma that this profession seems to have a hard time shaking off.

Sadly, I don't watch the music video channels. I generally don't like the styles of music played on them. Hopefully there's someone else here who is more knowledgeable of music videos and video games.

So far the only one I can come up with is by Simply Red, called "Night Nurse". I'll let you know if I find more.

Doesn't "Pink" do a nurse song?

I don't really do videos either.

I DO remember when MTV showed videos....seems so long ago doesn't it?

yea Rusty, its called "like a pill" or something like that. I haven't seen the video but there is a line in the song that says "I tried to call the nurse again but she's being a little b*tch"

The blink 182 cover for the "Emana of the state " Cd portray's a nurse. Hope this help's it might be kinda what your looking for.

I haven't seen the videos, but the cover for the Motley Crue singles Dr. Feelgood and Kickstart My Heart shows two "Media star/sex kitten" nurses wearing white uniform-type dresses, complete with caps and 3 in. spike heels. UGH! :rolleyes:

I thought that was the way you were suppose to dress when you were going to work. I guess I'll have to put the heels away for some other time. shucks!:chuckle

I had forgotten that video though. I think it is Dr Feelgood that had the video with the nurses.

The others pretty much snapped up my music ones.. so Ill give you a few video games that I --THINK-- had nurses in them..

Duke Nukem (I think the strip bar had strippers in nurse outfits).

System Shock 2 (I know for sure that in some parts it had a doctor and a nurse working on a patient, I think the doctor even yells "NURSE!" in one scene).

Mission Critical (In one part where you are required to work in the sick bay part of the ship theres a note in the Doctors desk that says something like "I told the nurse to setup the machine...")

I doubt this will be very helpful, but...

There's a PC game called "Emergency Room" that I think has nurses in it... (I think as the main

character you "play" the role of doctor, though)

There are some Zombie nurses that you have to kill in "Silent Hill" (YUCK)

That Blink-182 video comes to mind here, too.. we listen to alot of their music. :)

I wonder if the Weird Al video for "Like a Surgeon" has any nurses in it? LOL! :)

Surely there must be others, but this is all that comes to mind at the moment...
