Here in Chicagoland, everything is closing for the next 2 days. Wednesday we will have temps around -20 with windchills to -50ish.
Who else is getting called off for the cold?

Not far from the Iowa line in Missouri. No school tomorrow and probably a late start on Thursday. But, thankfully after that it is supposed to warm up...at least a little! To top that off, we didn't have school all last week because of icy roads.

In my little town in Indiana, schools are closed and most businesses except essentials...bring on spring and summer!

No school here, either. It's supposed to be as cold as -6. While that is certainly unpleasantly cold, I don't understand all the alarm!

Take care!!
It's currently -6 here with wind chill -57 according to local radio reports. Getting ready to go to work. Not 1 pt has called off yet according to my clinic manager. I was kinda praying that she would tell me that none had shown up and that I could stay home. One word: Brrrr

I'll bet on a bunch of cancellations once they realize their cars won't start, LOL

We were called off school Monday due to blizzard conditions and then they called us off both Tuesday and Today due to the predicted cold temps - real temps up to -30 and wind chill up to -55. Most every school and college in SD is cancelled. They even suspended our mail service.
