Hey ya'll!

I am new to allnurses and just was curious what everyones usernames mean. I know there are previous thread for this but I figured there have been some username changes and new members since then.

As you can see my username is Flightless and its just short for flightless bird AKA penguin which are my favorite animal lol I had a hard time trying to pick a username that was unique but didn't give me away! Haha!

So lets hear it!

heron is the Great Blue Heron, an elegant and solitary waterbird known colloquially as Old Cranky. When disturbed, she let's out a gawdawful squawk and flaps away.

(Clarinet, first chair )

How I used to take my coffee- I've since given up the sugar... Okay I've since TRIED to give up the sugar...

This is a fun thread!

HelloWish, means I am working toward becoming a nurse...something I have wanted/wished to do my whole life! I graduate in 2 weeks, at the age of 39. :-) Also my last name sounds kind of like wish. I will have to think of a new username once I pass the NCLEX.

Woot! Congratulations!

You're a guy? :nailbiting:

I thought the M stood for Mommy.

Fine, changing to AlphaBoy :D

You can only stay if you oil your hair. Those are the rules.

If I don't wash my hair for about a week, it'll oil itself!

My username is in honor of my cat, Poppy, who is 12 years old today. I adopted her when she was 10 weeks old & she's grown into a semi-grumpy old lady. Our purrsonalities are very similar. (See what I did there?)

Mine is pretty easy.

(A little clarinet, some flute, drums, and color guard)

I wish there was a love button for this.

Mine is the nickname that a resident gave me when I was working at a facility on crutches and it stuck for the rest of my employment. Any time I would be training a new nurse (there were many since the turnover was high) he would say to them, "Hope you can keep up with her. NurseSpeedy is fast even with broken bones and crutches!". I would have to purposely walk slower so that my poor trainee wouldn't have to break into a jog, which was always hard to do after drinking the coffee that I brewed in the morning.

Um. Im Irish. I work in ICU. And I'm a girl... After reading all this I wish I'd been more original!!
