I am new to allnurses and just was curious what everyones usernames mean. I know there are previous thread for this but I figured there have been some username changes and new members since then.
As you can see my username is Flightless and its just short for flightless bird AKA penguin which are my favorite animal lol I had a hard time trying to pick a username that was unique but didn't give me away! Haha!
When I created it, I really liked ice cream. I don't crave it like I used to.
I like things to be black or white, no gray area please. A math person. Nothing frustrates me like an English class, debating the meaning of something. I want to know the "right answer". I'm also kind of an extremist: hot or cold, happy or sad, going all out or not showing up, etc.
I'm indecisive, usually for smaller things: paint colors, nail polish colors, what to wear, etc. I can make "big" decisions easily. Those "little" decision really eat me up though.
In European culture, the black dog represents death..... And it definitely waits for us. It's my reminder to myself to live each day with some purpose :)
My user name is based on a Sailboat I lived on while living on a boat in Miami. It was eventually destroyed by hurricane Wilma. I still miss her, and Miami :)
A cat I adopted while in nursing school. A tiny kitten I found in a roadside gutter. Her name wasn't "Guttercat," but she was often referred to as "Guttercat."
