Good luck to all :D

hello!i am taking the exam on the 24th.I feel ambivalent at this time.i dont know if this is healthy for me or if this is an indicator of me being too confident or too numb to face that the day is near.there is much uncertainty sorrounding the exam but i know 1 thing is for sure.God has a plan for all of US.We need just to believe and as we believe we'll very well be on our way to what is in store US.Goodluck to all of US and more power!God be with US all!!!:yeah:

P.S this site had helped me a lot to settle down and be more aground with the realities of NCLEX!with this a bunch of Thank Yous to those who founded it!:yeah:

Please include me in your prayers!I'll definitely be praying for all of us march test takers!it is a pleasure to be included in this group.I wish all of you guys and gals the best in life.Again God be with us ALL!!:yeah:

you have a positive attitude in preparing for your test. that's good! i wish i am like you. i took mine march 6 and i am still waiting for my reslut. i had sleepless nights thinking about the foolish errors i've done on the test. but what can i do now, the exam is over and all i am waiting for is a miracle. i have done my very best and if i fail...you're right, God has every reason why it happens. just believe in yourself. you prepared yourself so hard for this test and God will provide the rest.

My prayers are with you. Good luck on the 24th! You can do it!

How have u been studying for ur pharmacology?

Sorry I havent got any of my books with me, so I'm using the web for basis:

Serum creatinine; in prerenal failure the ratio of urinary to plasma creatinine is high- > 40. The urinary sodium concentration is low -

http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/40000105/

As we have said, a normally functioning kidney is able to conserve salt and water. A sensitive indicator of tubular function is sodium handling because the ability of an injured tubule to reabsorb sodium is impaired, whereas an intact tubule can maintain this reabsorbtive capacity in the face of a hemodynamic stress. With a prerenal insult, the urine sodium should be less than 20, and the calculated fractional excretion of sodium should be less than 1%.

http://www.ccmtutorials.com/renal/pathphys/page_06.htm

Hm... But prerenal/intrinsic and postrenal causes apply both to Oliguric and Diuretic phase correct? Thank you wishiwereanurse. But then, in diuretic phase sodium is always elevated correct? regardless of the causes? :nurse:

Whoever posted ARF, CRF attachements. Big Thankyou. Bless your heart.

Hi all! How is evryone doing? Hows NCLEX coming along? Anyway last night was my first night on the floor by myself, though my class mate aloso applied there we had the cart together, and man oh man what a mess! Im already feeling like I wanna cry. The CNAs were really mean .. although Im not taking it to heart, one resident had a GTube that was supposed to be started @ 6pm, I didnt get to it until about 9pm. One resident had a fever and was sent out to hospital and two other pts. "fell" although not realy fell , like slid to ground but we have to write an incident report. It was crazy and no one really told us much about charting or a weekly report I had the worst headache of my life and the last 4 hours were HELL. Im slowly learning that every single pt. chart at least something... A&O x3, ate well, took meds well, was in bed watching TV, something so then @ the end of the night you just copy all of your notes into chart w out trying to recall... also I didnt knwo we were supposed to take each chart and log every single vitals from the CNAs binder.. man oh man its about close to 2 hours of charting on top of meds and treatments. Im doing to 330-midnight right now... what did I get myself into?!!!!

I hope all of your NCLEX studies are coming along .. I havent thought about studying anything for a while.. I almost miss when I was studying for NCLEX! Also today I checked boards and my name is finally on the website! It pays to take the drive to Sac those who lives in CA .. it only took 4 days for my name to appear and my class mate took almost 3 weeks , he mailed his in...

When I did my preceptorship for my last semester of school, that's exactly what I had to do! So many things happen during the day that for me to be able to remember it all was a nightmare! What I do now is I carry a little notebook with me, chart what I see in the pt when I do my assessment, time it, and every single time I go inside a pt's room, I chart something! I have an incredibly bad memory, so it helps to be anal about this. *lol* :lol2:

Good luck :nurse:

How have u been studying for ur pharmacology?

I used the saunders comprehensive blue book for the pharm, and Hurst review for everything else

My waiting is finally over!

Just found out today that I passed the NCLEX-RN! I stopped at 145 q's. 2 SATA, 1 computation, Lots of Prioritization, Infection Control, Delegation and Pharma. I was upset when I finished the test. I am pretty sure I missed some easy questions. I was hopeless...But God didn't let me down. All my prayers are answered.

I studied using Suzanne's Plan. Kaplan Q-trainers, Asked IampattyRN and Macgyver16 for some notes. ATI also helps. Thanks to this site and to this thread.I silently read post in this thread and I am getting familiar with everybody.

Good luck to the next NCLEX test takers.
