i've seen salary surveys and they seem to be all over the place. so, i thought it would be cool to do a little survey with y'all. maybe others out there can benefit from some survey info...maybe even decide if it's worth going into nursing. thanks for the input. i'm trying not to get too personal here.

Rural NYS, LPN's start at $14.50 an hour, period. Everywhere.

$20.69 - $27.09 per hour as per AUPE Auxiliary Collective Agreement.
Yearly raises bring you to the next step. Shift premiums for evenings and weekends can add an extra $2.50 to $5.00 per shift.

First job I was making $18.00 plus $1.00 diff after 3 pm and $1.50 on weekends Med/surg and I was PRN. Two girls I went to school with were working at the same hospital. PCU $15.25 and med/surg $13.25. They were full time.
Now I'm working at a group office setting in the surgical dept. $16.02/hr.
