Hi there,

I've just started my LPN program in a moderately populated town. The total cost for me was $13,500. (books, labs, uniforms....) (I didn't get any loans, saved over the years.....) Were your fees comparible? I feel like it was quite expensive for a 2 1/2 year program.

Side note, apparently we'll be taught to run IV lines.....something new added to the course i believe...

FREE!!! Fasfa is pretty much paying for everything, and then some. I am even recieving money for gas....kinda funny, I am actually getting paid to go to school

in los angeles california, its costing me 35000 for a private school 15 month program . yes it says thirty five thousand, our rn program is 65000 (keep in mind these are private schools i know community college is way cheaper but for me the pre reqs were taking way to long, to each his own)

Mine will be around 11K total for a twenty month, three night a week program--a perfect program...I'm not a morning person. School I'm transferring from was 23K for a 15 month LPN....this school is currently under provisional status. I think I've made the correct choice lol.

I live in oklahoma and just recently graduated from a 18month course everything was paid for including nclex and they set it all up for us and i paid $20,000 but my friend just graduated from the same amount of class where nothing was paid for and it cost her 2,000. I think we got screwed!!! I wish i had looked around more than what i did.

Specializes in CNA.

Here in AZ one lpn program is 2,888

In southern California private LVN schools are over 30,000! I was fortunate enough to get into Downey Adult School for only 5,000.

hi,it depends with the location.just like houses are cheaper in some areas and they are high in the subbarbs.

i school in delaware,a new school.it just turned 3 yrs now.but the passing rate of nclex is 88 percent the 1st time you take nclex.the fee is 15876,this covers everything in school..books,lab uniform..e.t.c.

we have no assistance from state since the school is still too young.

in nursing field..you never go wrong.

At the school I am attending the total is $10,400. This includes all nurse skills kits, 3 uniforms, shoes, lab jacket, books, tuition, i-pod touch with nursing software, all fees for testing, Fingerprinting, FBI check etc.... This is a 11 month course. Other friends of mine are attending other schools in this area paying $22,000, $17,000 & one at 9,000. But none of those include the tests, nursing software, uniforms. So I would say I was pretty lucky.:D

In my area it's one year no matter where you go but the local community college is $4500 and accepts pell grant and student loans.

The vocational school is $6500 and they don't take grants or student loans.
