hi everyone! i'm holli. i took boards on june 13th and passed with 75 questions. i am starting work on july 18th at the only hospital i ever wanted to work for. it is a great pediatric facility! i will be on the (post-op) surgical floor, and we also have all of the endocrine kids. also, they just added an epilepsy monitoring unit, for overnight monitoring and for the brain mapping they are doing. i expressed an interest in that, so they will cross-train me in that unit as well. i can't wait to get started!
so, tell me about you...

I'm JoAnne. I graduated from an accelerated, 2nd Degree program in August. I took the NCLEX in early Oct and passed with 75 questions and am thrilled to be working in the Oncology department of a large hospital. Hi all
Just took my LPN boards in august and passed with 85 questions. I am working in long term care in the facility that is helping me financially with school. Eventually I would love to work in an emergency room. I am also currently enrolled in an ADN program working towards my rn

Hi! I just got pointed to these forums by a lovely lady I work with, and am so excited to find this world of nurses online!
I'm Ali. I graduated in May of '05 and passed boards in July. I work in the Pediatric ICU of a big old teaching hospital, and I love it. I work days with the occasional night thrown in there, which is a nice change of pace. I love nursing. I've managed to get this far and still be starry-eyed about it, so here's hoping the glow doesn't wear off anytime soon. =)
Hi everyone! I just graduated and passed the NCLEX-PN in December '06.
I just had my first job interview yesterday at a clinic where I would be an LPN in a Occupational Health office.
I've found out that this area of nursing isn't easy to get into, and hope I will get lucky.
Happy New Year to all...

Hello everyone, I'm still searching for a job, I passed my NCLEX RN on the 9th of this month but I just began searching for a job last week, I don't know why I'm so nervous I was a LPN for 7 years. I didn't work while attending school for the past year and a half, maybe that's why!
Oh, By the way I happened to stumble across this site while searching for nurse supplies.
Hello Everyone...
I am Apryl and passes NCLEX-PN in September. I have been working on a busy Med/Surg floor of a small rural hospital. Somedays are great, and some days I think I am an awful nurse! But I think that may be all in my head because i am nervous. Hopefully things will get better with time!
Hi, My name is Kim. I attended nursing school in Las Vegas Nevada, and moved the day after our pinning ceremony to Pennsylavina where I took my state baords. I passed my NCLEX on 3 October 06 and went to work at a local hospital on a med/surge floor. That lasted about a month...not for me. I felt the ratio was to high (11-14 patients) I knew I didn't want med/surge but felt like I should do a year of it since it was crammed down our throats in school. I really wanted to go into mental health or surgery. Instead I moved to a LTC facility and took a position as a RN Night Supervisor and am loving it. I enjoy the old people very much. I recently applied for my Alaska license because now we are moving to Alaska! In case your wondering I am married to an active duty soldier which explains all the moving! Anyway I'm glad to find the site!
My name is Kim and I graduated from nursing school in December. I took and passed the NCLEX in mid-January and am working at a local hospital on the medical/surgical and pediatrics unit. I was a nurse "tech" there on the same floor since June. I love my floor and I love what I do. My biggest frustration are the days when I feel like I know nothing! I hear it's common as a new nurse, but man, it can wear on one's confidence! I have one more week left of orientation and hopefully I will survive. Wish me luck!
