Just curious..what color is your stethoscope?

Hi everyone!

I'm starting nursing school in August and I was curious,what color is your stethoscope? Someone told me not to get black because it could possibly "grow legs.":unsure:

What is the best brand and color?

I have the same one!

I got the Littmann Classic II in black and it is perfect. I haven't had any issues with "losing it" because other people anticipate the same thing as you are and get colors other than black. You can also get it engraved as everyone else has advised, or get a name tag. :)

Black Littmann Cardiology III. A great scope. It was a gift from a preceptor in nursing school. I got my named engraved on the metal part. If I had purchased it myself, I would have gotten burgundy or navy.

I still have my Littmann lightweight in black from nursing school. It's my backup scope that I keep in my car.

Littman breast cancer pink is what I have now. But I just bought a new littman raspberry tube because a pen leaked blue ink on the old tubing.

Littman Classic II SE in red with my name engraved on it. I'm a school nurse, and it stays locked in a drawer, so no chance of it being stolen.

My Master Classic is royal blue, and my Cardiology is navy blue. They were gifts, so I didn't choose the colors. I tend to use the Master Classic 99% of the time.

What are the differences in the 2 stethoscopes? What I mean is, in your daily nursing practice, how does one benefit you more or why do you like it more?

Master classic is just like the classic II but only has a one sided bell.

The cardiology III provides higher quality acoustics then the master classic and has a double sided bell and diaphragm.

Both are fantastic scopes!

Thanks! I have the classic II SE and it works very well, no complaints. Guess I'm looking for an excuse to buy a new toy for work, lol!
