Just curious..what color is your stethoscope?

Hi everyone!

I'm starting nursing school in August and I was curious,what color is your stethoscope? Someone told me not to get black because it could possibly "grow legs.":unsure:

What is the best brand and color?

I have a Littmann Classic II in "Take me!!" black LOL. I figure it doesn't matter what color it is, if it's gonna walk, it's gonna walk Mine stays in my pants pocket (cargo-style scrubs), and I have yet to ever lay it down somewhere much less forget it in a room.

Littman classic II in purple. I got mine through Allheart-free engraving. I know that engraving is not going to keep someone from stealing it, but there is a nurse on my floor that HAD the exact same one and keeps accusing me of having hers. The engraving proves it is mine :)

Don't have a stethoscope yet, haha, but I when I get one I want to get a Littman Classic II in burgandy with my name engraved on the bell. (Future nursing dreams, I'm ridiculous lol)

I got an orange Light Weight Littman. I also bought Tropical Blue and Forest replacement tubing for my stethoscope.

I have a Littmann Master Cardiology with black tubing. It has my name engraved on the bell so I highly doubt anyone will walk off with it.

I had a Classic Littman II SE, green with my name engraved on the bell.

It was stolen 2 weeks after I got it.

Never saw it again.

i wish i could afford a littman but medical prestige will have to do since im just starting out in my program. i have two, one is very light weight, and clear light blue. The other is one of the ones with 2 tubes, mat black, and twice as heavy. I enjoy the lighter weight. Disposable cheapo ones at work are more than enough. I don't see the need for students to pick out more costly options while in school, don't know what is being listened to most of the time haha.

I have a Littman, and it's maroon. Generic, basic stethoscope for nursing school. I'm planning on buying a cardiac or more specialized one down the road, but hey, Littman gets the job done. And maroon was my school color, so.. Be true to your school?
