June 2008 NCLEX support group

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

Hi guys. Just joining the thread. I live in CA and am taking the NCLEX next friday (the 27th). I am so nervous!!!!!!!! I just finished the Kaplan classroom course. I got a 67% on my readiness test and have been getting in the 60s on my question trainers.

I am freaking out, trying to keep my test anxiety under control.

Welcome to the group, EDNURSE09! Those scores sound great to me and I'm sure you are going to do great! Good luck next week! Just remember to breathe! Best wishes to you! :heartbeat

Thank you for the support loboscon08! I really appreciate it. I have so much anxiety, I feel like vomiting all the time and I cant sleep. I hope that the kaplan tests really are good predictors on if you are going to pass the NCLEX.

Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

This may give you a good laugh... and I'm sure you can relate....

I'am a basket case awaiting my results and thought even though the results will be posted tomorrow I will check today. And of course they weren't up on Pearson. So since you can verify a license on your state's website, I decided to do that.

I typed in my name and city and low & behold there I was with a license number!!!!!!! TEARS of JOY, YELLING, and JUMPING up & down!!!! My husband comes in and kisses & hugs me and says congratulations!!!!!!

He then goes over to the computer and says "Um, honey, I don't know how to say this but this is your Graduate Nurse Temporary License."

:chuckle

For a moment... I knew what it felt like to have passed!!!! Who invited my husband in the room anyway...LOL

I totally relate with this because my husband is checking for my results every minute, its almost like he is the one who went to nursing school and took the n-clex ahhaha:yeah:

Welcome to the thread. You test a day after me and I am also using Kaplan. I didn't do the classroom as I couldn't take that many days in a row off of work. I did do the complete online though. I think the tests are great practice in critical thinking. Your scores sound great. Just stay focused on continuing to get more right then wrong and I think you will do great. Good luck!!

HOORAH!!!! Congratulations on your success!!!!! I bet the weight of the world has been lifted off your shoulders. Enjoy the new RN status! :yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:

I took my nclex in houston today.I felt ok before the test but after I just want to puke my guts up. In nursing school I got a 99% chance of passing 1st time on my ati comprehensive predictor but I am still having a major freak out. After the test I went to my fav restaurant and drowned my sorrows in mex food and 2 pineapple magaritas. I cant wait to find out if I passed.:bluecry1:

Hi everyone I'm a new member here. I just took the nclex-rn and I'm still waiting for the results. I answered 265 items, and most of the questions were prioritizations. I just hope i pass this time because this is my second take already.

keeping my fingers crossed.
