June 2008 NCLEX support group

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Hi everyone!

I take the RN test at 8 in the morning. I'm scared to death. I have been studying with Saunders and Kaplan. I am scoring 50-60% on Kaplan QT and 70-80% on Saunders. Do you think I am ready??? Please pray for me also. I am praying that we all PASS in the name of JESUS!!!

well i have been so many test questions that i feel like a test question.

just wanted to say congrats to everyone who has passed

for those who did not, relax for lil bit and then refocus and jump back in, we are all going to make great nurses. the nclex does not define us, we define who we are.

well i have 4 days left before i take this test. so everyone please keep me in your prayers

i am at the point were i am with peace with whatever happens. of course i am striving to pass. but now i am continuing to study, but i have put it in god's hands.

How soon after sending in your paperwork did you get your ATT? How much time in between graduation and NCLEX. I am graduating on 6/17 and curious what my realistic time is to expect to test. I want to do it asap! thank you!! amanda

I tested this morning at 8 AM and feel 99% sure that I failed it. My computer shut off at 265 and it was a fairly easy patient education question.

I got lost on the drive home from the testing center, one i've done a million times, because i was so dazed and upset with myeslf.

Don't beat yourself up.

You did the toughest part and that is you got through the exam.

Rest assure you are ahead!

When people walk out feeling awful, it is usually because you have been through the upper level of the exam and that is a good sign:yeah:

So commend yourself for that. Feel good for getting to the toughest part of the exam.

It took about a month for mine to arrive in my SPAM email inbox. At first, I was scheduled to take the NCLEX on the 24th of June, the first spot available, but I kept checking daily, and finally found a spot open on the 18th. (Where someone had cancelled an appt.)

So, our final was after our graduation (:uhoh3), but the final (HESI) was on May 7th, and I'm testing on the 18th of June.

I would say, figure at least 1-2 months after you finish to take the NCLEX.

Hang in there everyone!!! I take mine on Monday...YOWZERS :) I just keep thinking how nice it is going to be to be DONE with it and to just relax for another month until work starts.

I was laughing to myself last night thinking how crazy this whole testing process is.... not knowing your score right away, anywhere between 75 and 265 questions!!, weird scoring situation...feels like the last "kick in the pants" from the Nursing Hierarchy :) Let's cut out all those psychological mind games!!!
