This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.
To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.
Thanks!
elo mates, just wanna ask how to apply for nclex exam and the estimate cost overall.
Suggest you check out the International forum especially the sticky/thread titled Primer to working in the US.
You are not applying for NCLEX but to be a RN in the US of which NCLEX is part of that process. Also check on retrogression as you are looking for years before getting a work vis and moving to the US
Depending on your state.usually it is $75.00 for the application fee.
$200 for the exam fee from Pearsonvue. Once you are eligible with your BON website, you will call the testing center and register with them, Pearsonvue. then you will be given an ATT by mail/online. Then you schedule your exam with the ATT number.
Overall it is $275 to be eligible to test and register for the exam.
Good luck to you. :roll
Dang....in TX we had to pay $139, and then the $200 Pearson Vue fee.
The total cost for boards in the state of Florida is $405.Since myrianekes is in the Phillipines it would be a different price (international). I suggest talking to suzanne4 or silverdragon because they seem to be very knowledgable on international applicants and application.
Thanks for that nice note. Not so much the price is different but also requirements can be different when trained outside the USA. Plus with retrogression there is no rush at the moment so may as well research properly in the International forum
Taking NCLEX tomorrow at 2:00PM and I'm going crazy!!
I wish I had the confidence to take the day off and rest and relax like many have adviced! However, I'm spending the day going over my weak areas, memorizing labs and doing more questions! I'm going to fight 'til the very end! Good luck to everyone taking theirs today and tomorrow!! We WILL pass and be RNs!!!!

Close the book. It never worked for me. I have always been the test taker who can actually go over last minute things and make a victory on an exam. But for NCLEX...it does not work that way, at least for me it didn't!
So close the book, and treat yourself and relax until tomorrow.
The last time I took this exam, I did last minute highlights and didn't pass. I don't want to discourage you, just want to give you an experienced heads up.
