This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.
To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.
Thanks!
Took mine at 5pm tonight. I took an hour and 45-ish minutes. It shut off at 75. I had tons of prioritization questions, like at least 15 SATA, 5 math questions. It was difficult but I'm hoping for the best.
Does anyone know if SOME of the SATA are considered "trial" questions?? (I know not all...) Are the trial questions first or mixed in with the exam? I can't remember :) '
Good job StudentNurseAbby :) Let us know!! Do you have quick results in your state?
The trial questions are mixed in within the first 75, but not necessarily the first 15 questions.
You won't know which ones are the trial questions... To my knowledge, any can be a trial....SATA, multiple choice, or fill in the blanks.....
I've heard some questions seem really off the wall, and those *may* be the trial ones, but there's no way to know.

Okay one more quick question... its hard not to overanalyze and worry :) I keep seeing everyone write that the questions are much harder than the study questions from any of the study programs etc. I typically am an okay standardized test taker, we did lots of HESI tests in nursing school and I always had a positive outcome on those; on the study materials I feel that I have reviewed really well and have been pleased with my progress and percentage of questions that I am getting right.
I guess what I want to hear (or at least discuss) is that in your opinion (OR ANYONE ELSE WHO HAS TAKEN IT)... even though the questions are harder and sometimes out there, do you think that the practice questions in general and NCLEX reviews adequately prepare you to take it one step further for the NCLEX questions?? :confused:Like I keep looking at the study questions and think...how much trickier, harder, more obscure are they going to make it?? In your opinion, do they pick really out there content...or is it the stuff that the reviews focus on, except the questions are much more tricky. Just curious...and getting nervous :no:I suppose :)
Took the NCLEX265 questions
I am sure to have failed!
You know, I have heard many times that if you actually had 265, you have a better chance of passing because if they were going to fail you it would have cut off earlier. You will pass this thing. I can't imagine the stress and disbelief you are feeling right now but try to do something or go somewhere and let your mind be free.
Tking nclex on tuesday(june 10). I'm having just 50s and lower 60s on kaplan trainers. I don't know what to do on tjis days before nclex.I'm studying kaplan strategy right now and I'm learning some good points.very helpful. But don't know what to expect on the real thing.I'm excited and nervous coz the first I took it, just focus on questions but now I think I'm better than the first time.I've read the Sunders compre. Good luck to us and congrats to those who passed.I'll be praying for our success.Tnx and God bless us all....:angryfire
