Hello co-January 08 test-takers!

my exam will be tomorrow 8AM, I'm so anxious right now, don't know what will I do? do the laundry? clean the house? do ironing?

Last night, I wasn't able to sleep well, woke up too early this morning 3AM, I want to grab my book and notes but ah ah no. I still have the feeling of inadequacy after 2 and half months of studying. I was able to finished Suzanne's 1st tip (I read the entire Saunder's book cover to cover), did some questions in Saunder's CD and finished Kaplan Strategies book and CD 2008 edition. Then, listened to Feuer's lectures as my final review.

I am hoping and praying for a success this time.

Dear Lord,

Please grant us the wisdom, the knowledge, the courage & determination as we sit down in front of the computer to take our nclex. Guide us to select for the best answer, the best thing that we could for this test. Then in soon time we would be apply in our chosen career. We will be able to show to the board that we are proficient, prudent and competent nurses by giving the best care we could give (guided by our knowledge and guided by YOU, oh dear Lord).

I am up on 30th.

Anxiety r/t test shutting off at 85! My heart was pounding at 84. I was thinking, "I wonder if it's shutting off at 85?". Surely I didn't stink that bad. I studied hard, I'm an A student. Well it's out of my hands now! I just hope all the studying (4000 ?'s!), positive thinking and praying that's gone on has paid off. I can say the waiting is just one more torture thru this interesting journey of nursing school. Maybe that's what makes the victory so sweet! I can just feel the weight of the world lifting when I see PASS. :dncg:

I really don't know what to think...It was a weird test. I agree the questions weren't much like Saunders. It was just weird. I felt like I guessed a lot after getting it down to 2 choices. I had NO calculations which I WANTED. Maternity, meds, tons of priority, several select all that apply, therapuetic communication. Who knows?! I think I would have rather demonstrated my abilities in a clinical setting at this point! Everything I have read says most leave in doubt as how they feel about the test. I agree. I hope my instinct of passing the first time is right and this can be reassurance for future test takers. I pray I will be sending a happy message out Sunday morning!

I take my test soon, I have been using suzannes plan, and i am loving it. I feel that it has really helped me to review as well as do questions. I am not as nervous as I was the first time. I wish everybody good luck on taking their tests.

i hope i also made it this time

I took the test this today, 8AM, maximized the whole 5 hours and 57 minutes, i answered upto 257 questions, last 3 minutes, the computer shut down.. I was extremely exhausted on my 5th hour but I have to finished the test until the computer shut off..i felt like my head is in between a vise grip and it feels like exploding..the worst headache I ever had in my entire life. My eyes were strained and I was so nauseated but I got to continue testing.

i guessed most of my answers which made me frustrated..most of the q's i encountred are priority and delegation, psych, meds, herbal meds,legal aspects,pedia,disaster triage..many more i couldn't remember..

i had 5-6 med and IV calculations and 5 SATA which I didn't have the last time i took nclex..i hope this is positive sign, i am still trying to be more optimistic eventhough, I am already burn out..

I took my test today. It shut off at 75 and I really have no clue how I did. I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one with calculations. I think I must have had 4 or so. I wish it didn't take so long to post the scores....
