ISU FAQ thread

I thought it might be nice to have the ISU threads divided between an FAQ thread and one for current ISU students. Tweety's idea was to make the ISU Pt. Deux thread the current students one and make a new FAQ one. So if you have questions that are not answered on the first ISU thread then this is the place to ask them. :typing

I am enrolled in ISU, have taken all 4 CSMs, the TEAS, and am applying for Spring 2010. If anyone has questions, would be glad to answer them...

how much is this program all together? anyone?

Fees and Expenses are listed at http://www.indstate.edu/nursing/financial/fees-expenses.htm

costs change over time...ie textbooks go up, tuition might go up, testing fees go up, so it would be somewhat difficult to give a "total" price.

whats the name of the clep test I can take for information technology? and is the score of 65 still required? or what online CC or university can I take this requirement at? Thanks

never mind, its intro to computing Dsst. I am still unsure about the 65 test score. has anybody taken this DSST test and passed, and applied to ISU? I am planning to test out of this one.

Also for the DSST Technical Writing, which English requirement does this satisfy? ENG 105, 107, or 340? Thanks

Hi all, I am looking into ISU's program but I am confused. Do you or dont you have to finish the prereq's before applying to ISU? I have info from them and I cant tell. Or should I apply for ISU, do the prereq's then apply to the school of nursing? And as far the math and english, some schools in cali want you to come take an assesment test??? I am trying to do these classes online and live far away from this school. Are all schools like that?

I am trying to figure out the absolute quickest way to finish up my prereqs. Anyone have any ideas, I have been at this forever and I am having a reaaally hard time getting through the CLEP exams..
