ISU FAQ thread

Published

I thought it might be nice to have the ISU threads divided between an FAQ thread and one for current ISU students. Tweety's idea was to make the ISU Pt. Deux thread the current students one and make a new FAQ one. So if you have questions that are not answered on the first ISU thread then this is the place to ask them. :typing

Thanks. It was all member's ideas, I only fulfilled the requests.

Great ideas and teamwork. :)

Okay, Before I even apply, I need to know the equivalency of these courses. for instance is Biology 241L a Micro with lab class?

the same for Biology 274L

Math111--Is this algebra 1??

Communications is this speech? I don't want to take classes that I don't need at my CC

When does summer term start at ISU? and can you move in on campus during the summer?

Has anyone gone through clinicals yet? I'd like to know what it's like and how long it takes? Thanks.

chaxanmom,

What are the chances if accepted to fall 09' you can take transition, assessment and mental health all together? I know your grade in transition and assessment determine if you move on or not.....and from the old threads I noticed you took all three. Did they give you a hard time about that?

Thanx

Nope, they didn't give me a hard time. I took those three plus nursing research my first semester. You never know when they will change rules though so that may or may not be ok for fall 09. You'd have to ask them.

Chaxanmom- I just wanted to say that you have given me hope! I started this program almost two years ago and quit. I've decided to start again, and reading through these message boards your posts have helped motivate me :) And it always seems that when I have a question, I can just look here and sure enough, you have already answered it!

I just emailed my contact at the school to find out if I can take transition, assessment, and mental health all in the same semester. (I am applying for a scholarship through my workplace and have to condense from five semesters to four.) And I see that you have answered that question; at least enough to give me hope that they will let me do the same thing. Thanks so much for keeping up with us here and letting us follow your progress. It makes me feel better to know that there is someone who has completed (or will complete) this program. It is do-able!

Kylea,

Thanks for such a great post! I'm glad my posts were helpful to you and good luck!! :)

Hello!

I plan to complete all 4 modules as well. They need to be completed by November. I am trying to find out where to get the information without using College Network!!! I used Rue at Excelsior and it was expensive!! What I mean by used is I paid off the contract... Did not use the materials, just the textbooks!!

If you have any info, please share!

Thanks much!
