Anyone in clinical? I was wondering how the clinical's are coming along....or if anyone has graduated and took boards? I am interested in the pass rates for South.

I took my exam yesterday the 16th with 139 questions....found out today (I am an RN!!!!!!) :w00t: I did the pearson vue trick yesterday and I am a believer....it said the good pop-up and sure enough I passed! :rckn:Thanks for whoever figured this trick out it helps the anxiety. I took it in the order you have up there NUR 106, 224, 328, and 330. I found the modules helped I passed all of mine. 224 and 328 were kinda hard....one is med-surg and peds. I think you will meet your goal I studied the longest on peds because it is so much to remember from birth to 18yrs. Good luck:)

Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) Testing Schedule Pre-Admission Procedure Orientation Study Manual ATI User Account Practice Assessment Distance TEAS DE Proctor Form Proctor Packet The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a 3.5-hour computerized scholastic aptitude assessment that helps predict those students with the highest likelihood of academic success in nursing. The TEAS is required for admission into the nursing program at ISU for all undergraduate students except students applying to the RN to BS track. The TEAS consists of four content areas: math, reading, English, and science. All subtests contain multiple-choice items with one correct answer. The Math subtest covers whole numbers, metric conversion, fractions and decimals, algebraic equations, percentages, and ratio/proportion. Reading covers paragraph comprehension, passage comprehension, and inferences/conclusions. The English subtest measures knowledge of punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, contextual words, and spelling. The Science portion of the exam covers science reasoning, science knowledge, biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, basic physical principles, and general science. The test will be administered in the computer lab on second floor of the nursing building (unless otherwise noted on testing schedule. Be sure that you have tested your Sycamore login and password in a public computer lab to make sure you can log in to the network. chaxanmom, What are the chances if accepted to fall 09' you can take transition, assessment and mental health all together? I know your grade in transition and assessment determine if you move on or not.....and from the old threads I noticed you took all three. Did they give you a hard time about that? Thanx

Yes you need at least 6 credits for financial aid.......As far as the challenge exams you need 79% "C" which is 51 out of 65 questions right to get a passing grade....then they take those credits and count it towards graduation you do not get a letter grade on your transcript to count for a GPA. Now the NURS 208...I have no idea we will find that one out together...hopefully *crossing my fingers to get accepted*

If you are starting out with no credits....you need all the general education classes done before you can apply to the nursing school portion. Those are the lower level course like chemistry, speech, a&p......etc. The higher gen ed classes have to be done before you finish. If you signed up with TCN they should have gave you a book that outlined exactly what you should do step by step. And if you have question about anything calling ISU is a good resource they are friendly and will help you. And you don't take boards until you are finished the program. Also you can apply to Indiana state at anytime.....you just can't apply to the nursing school until those req classes are done. Hope that helped somewhat........

I agree with Brenda there is no guarantee, but if it is something you truly want go for it! And congrats to you Brenda for coming such a long way with 0 credits....and don't worry you will do good in Algebra. I too will be taking it one day, one test, one month at a time....I want to start in the Fall of 09' as well. I have Chem, speech, and 3 challenge exams left to take. I was enrolled for spring into ISU but I have not sent off my application for the nursing school yet....just waiting to see how these exams turn out:bugeyes: And to everyone thinking about applying or already in the program good luck to you all.

No preceptor.....I didn't know I needed on for that challenge exam. I was told if I need it I could....and it would go towards the NUR484 clinicals....is that not true?
