Do you really need a laptop for nursing school?
It is not required for us to have a laptop in my program, but I could not be without one. I always have it for study groups, or studying away from home and it has made everything so much easier.. I have a hp. It was a gift, so I didn't personally compare brands etc. It has been a big adjustment getting use to it because I have always had Macs and my home computer is a Mac.

Is Pregnancy During Nursing School Doable?
I am an example of healthy person + pregnancy = high risk pregnancies. I am very healthy, very active, current with my immunizations, get my yearly check-ups, etc, however, when I get pregnant that is definitely not the case. I get High BP, Preeclampsia, get put on bedrest, almost had a 27 weeker etc etc. The second I am no longer pregnant I am as healthy as can be again. I am about to enter a nursing program and if it wasn't for that my boyfriend and I would be trying to conceive. I luckily know that I am not a good candidate for being pregnant during nursing school. If it wasn't for already knowing, I would be having the same thoughts as you about getting pregnant.

What brand of scrubs do you prefer?
I have a bunch of Blue Sky Scrub sets.. They are my favorite scrubs!! I prefer solid scrub sets and they wear and wash soo nice! To me, Greys Anatomy Scrubs do not wash well. They fade and get the pulls on them. They just don't last in my opinion.

So Tired
I had to get a new job to drop to PD. My manager would not work with my school schedule at all! She said that in her medical office (and it's part of a large hospital!) she doesn't hire RN's so I basically wouldn't be any use to her when I have a RN license. I had to go PD. I went back to PD with an old employer and it is working out so much better!

What do you use to take notes in class
I am glad you asked this question! I am thinking about getting an iPad for nursing school! I am just finishing up my prereqs and am thinking that may be my getting into nursing school gift :) (hopefully!!) I think that between the iPad and a bluetooth keyboard I may be able to keep up and take notes.

So Tired
I am right there with you! I couldn't work and go to school full time and take care of my 2 children. I was exhausted! I cut down to very PD and it is working out much better! I am still tired but manageable!

Any suggestions for a "work" watch?
I have a BabyG. I LOVE it! It's really easy to clean.

Carrington College LVN program
When I went (and it has been 11 years ago.) The hours were full time 8-4 or so, 5 days a week. Then once clinicals start, those hours were cut back and clinical hours were added. I don't remember the exact schedule, but it was clinicals a few days a week and lecture the others.. Sorry I am not more help. It has been a while..

Spring semester
I am taking 19 units this semester with a math and Physiology as 2 of the classes. It is doable, it just is alot of work. I think if you need it to make a deadline then go for it. Thats why I decided to take so many this semester! Good luck!
