I am having a poor me moment so please excuse the vent....
I am tired to my very bone and this has been an horrendous semester for a number of reasons (unrelated to NS). No I have a kidney infection and am peed off even more.
Does everyone get like this close to graduation?

I am feeling same way. It's been a terrible semester here too, for home, school I have done pretty good in. Now I have a final left, my preceptorship and 2 more regular clinical days and I just want to be DONE!!!!!
yet I must be crazy because I just registered for a class this summer to start my RN-BSN in the fall. :|
Hang in there, we are almost done.
@Vida I think it is a good idea to register for your BSN classes now. Keeps up the momentum.
That's exactly why I did it. Plus I think it will be a much different feeling when I already have my RN.

Yes. These last few weeks of my master's program are like giving birth. I'm doing a teaching practicum and my master's project, and I'm taking the second semester of advanced pathophysiology. In the next couple of weeks I have two exams, a final paper summarizing my practicum experiences, a couple of PowerPoint presentations, and that huge paper for my project.
I'm really tired. Some days I just have to zone out in front of the television and watch junky reality shows because I can't stuff any more information into my head. My brain feels like an overcooked sausage, ready to explode.
I've been doing my master's degree full throttle. I haven't been working because I wanted to do this full-time. Although my program is set up to be completed in five semesters full-time, I'm doing it in four.
Like DolceVita, I've had a few health issues this semester and a couple of personal issues not related to school. One of the personal issues has been causing me a great deal of stress. Between that issue and school, I feel like I am living on caffeine, adrenaline, and chocolate.
It isn't you, Dolce. You have lots of company.

I think a lot of people in my class are feeling this way, me included. Only about a month to go and it's like pulling teeth to make myself do my clinical paperwork. And for some reason, my skin is acting up right now too. It's kind of a mess and I don't know what it wants! I do have my major assignments out of the way and I have my pin all ready for pinning, but there are lots of tests coming up.

Six weeks left and I finish my 3rd year of my BSN and I am already getting antsy for summer to be here ... like a previous poster said at least one day a week I sleep all day after class and then surf the internet until late at night because the willpower just won't come anymore lol

A kidney infection makes it SO HARD to do anything. I had one a month and a half ago and I could barely lift my head, I couldn't do anything I was so sick and tired. The exam I had after that was the one bad exam I've had this semester, but there was no way I could focus or study in that condition. Did you get antibiotics?

With a month left until graduation...
I am tired of classes. I am tired of classmates. I want to punch one instructor in particular. I love my patients but can't stand doing anything class-related. Some days I can't wait to graduate, and some days I have "Oh-my-God-I-can't-be-a-nurse" syndrome. But mostly I have to kick my own butt to write these last few papers.
So yeahhhh...I'm right there with ya.
