Considering the professional, geographic and demographic environments, if you had an opportunity to move anywhere in the US for a short or long while just for the experience of it, where would you want to go?

I did pick up and go.The ideal "professional, geographic and demographic environments"is subjective. For ME, Hawaii was a great experience and Arizona was a nightmare. Are considering travel nursing?

Not travel but I've recently found myself single and with my last one just graduated I'm ready for a new experience. I was already planning to move but I'd especially like to go somewhere with energy, lots to do, exposure to new things and outside of ordinary, if that makes sense. I'm still on a career trajectory so also want a place with a multitude of opportunities.

I'm a country music phanatic, so I would love to live in Nashville!! I'd also love to live in Montanna or Wyoming, Oregon or Washington, Alaska, and someplace like Hawaii with a nice beach.

Alaska would be cool, or I've always wanted to live in Maine. I would also try Washington state. I'm not necessarily thinking about work opportunities so much as whee I'd like to be during my off time.

I'd like to visit Florida for more than just a short vacation. I couldn't imagine living there though.

Hmmmm... If I could just pack up and move anywhere... Kids grown... Husband ok with it :)... Probably Hawaii. Perfect weather year round... Waves... Palm trees...
Another possibility... Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Yes it is touristy, but the Smokies are my favorite place in the world!

I would really like to check out Seatle because I like the rain and the all around weather seems phenomenal to me. I guess I'll have to settle for a southern state instead when we run screaming from Illinois before we retire since Seatle is so far away!
You may want to check out Seattle. The climate is awesome and the area is beautiful. There are all sorts of outdoor activities -- you can go skiing in the morning and sailing in the afternoon and to a concert in the evening. Seattle is the perfect place, as far as I'm concerned.
