Oh gosh I remember that feeling. I worked 7 days a week ( 2 jobs) and went to night school. When I started working I had a tough time with days off. Especially when it was in the middle of the week.

I understand where you are coming from! On my so-called "days off" from school, clinicals, and work there was always a project or care plan to complete or exams to study for.

You aren't the only one. We are all in this together! :-) After all, when/if we are/become the patient hopefully we get a nurse that did study all the time and knows what he/she is doing.

I leave work in the morning and go to school mon-Thursday usually I'm there until 1 I have to pick up my mom from work at 5 and manage sleep somewhere in between the time I get out of class and after I get home before I go to work otherwise I get none. There are times when I'm up over 24hrs. CRAZY!!!! Idk how I stay sane sometimes lol

This past Saturday I broke down in tears in the library when I had to decline: an awesome pig roast backyard party, a trip to the beach, a tubing trip, dinner plans, a friend who was visiting from out of town and beautiful weather outside. On one hand...I feel grateful that people still remember I'm alive. On the other, I am so, so, so, so tired and emotionally stripped. Let yourself be sad. Give yourself outlets when it gets to be too much. Make plans for when you are done so you have something to look forward to.
