I belong to three clubs and this forum. Someone sent me a nasty email from one of those places. This person acused me of not being an RN which I take offense to. I paid my student loans for four year believe me I am an RN. This person called me a liar and other names. Yes I have been offered and accepted several jobs in the past two months and YES those places were really screwed up. I do not want to risk my license doing things that are either illegal, immoral or unethical. If you think companies are not operating out there like that you are sadly mistaken. I come to this board for support and to GIVE Support. Right now I am mentoring 5 students trying to help them grow as professionals. I open my heart to this group and someone has the nerve to write me, not sign their name and tell me people in the group are talking about me behind my back. I don't get it. Nurses do eat their young. I am not young either by the way LOL. This persons email addy is as follows:
Renerian- I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to you, from reading your posts, I feel like you are one of the nursiest nurses around here, you never have spoken unkind words and are quick to offer words of support and encouragment . Stay positive , know that for that one ignorant person out there, you have hundreds of others that are friends.
I don't know what set this person off, but I totally HATE this kind of thing. Obviously, the person doesn't have the brains to honestly debate ideas without attacking and put-downs.
As for me, renarian, I love to read your posts! Please don't let this jerk-off get you down or to make you feel less welcomed and valued on this forum. There's surely been enough of us jumping to your defense for you to know that there is NO truth in his/her comments!!!
It's just amazing that a gazillion people can tell us how terrrific we are, and we know it's the truth, too, BUT, if just one little tiny idiot of an A**WI*E tells us otherwise, OUCH!!
That A*****E doesn't know nothin'! Here, hold my purse, I'll go beat 'em sideways for ya!

I have been following your posts, and think you have been justified for not taking those jobs! Geesh, you have been given the run-around by some of these employers and now someone comments because YOU have some ethics or you won't work for less than agreed or for more hours than is sane?

I always remind my kids, You can't control another's actions. Period. You DO have a choice of how you will respond to another's ill-intentioned, non-insightful, degrading untruths. To whomever emailed renerian: what a sad reflection of yourself you have given to all of us, for whatever reason. I hope you get help/find what you need, sometime; your objective will not be reached through such attacks as the email you sent to our allnurses sib.
