How much of a raise did you get this year?

(if any, I suppose)

Just wondering how much of a yearly increase everyone got. I am a RN in Florida and was surprised to get 7.5% increase (equaling $1.84/hr). I thought it would be a lot less. I know I am lucky to get anything these days. What did all of you get? Do you think it's fair?

No raises for the next 5 years due to state budget cuts. Also, insurance premiums went up. To add insult to injury, state employees have 5% of their paycheck taken for 10 pay periods, the another 2% for 26 pay periods to pay for the state deficit. We get 9 furlough days as compensation and then they will pay the rest back over a period of 36 pay periods starting in 2015.

I got a 1.00 raise on the hour. I only work like 20 hours a week and I need all the money I can get. I won't have my RN for another year so hopefully it'll help.

I got a 2% base salary raise plus a 6.3% annual bump coming this year. Both union contract raises. 8.3% ain't bad in this economy.

I think it's fair because it's what was negotiated.

The New York State income tax for individuals with an AGI of $75k to $200k is 6.65%, down from 6.85% in 2012. New York's top income tax rate is 8.82% for individuals making (after deductions) over $2 million. Down from 8.97% in 2011.

I could not find any information about state employees getting an additional 5% (or 2%) deducted from their paychecks for any reason. Can you provide a source for additional tax for state employees you described?

My contribution to coverage went up about 30 bucks along with medical deductable.

Haha , ours too went up. Especially for the employees who have anyone but themselves on their insurance.

I got a new job and I make $5 more than I made at the last job.

20 cent. Cost of living raise. Less than half of what I got the year before.

Our contract gives 3% raises yearly plus an extra $1.25/hr for every year of experience I gain. Yes, I think this is fair. I do not think some of the responses I've read are fair!

Raise your hand if you had to look "raise" (this usage) up in the dictionary before replying to this thread

Nothing, again!!!

Hmm...I went from $0.00/hr. to $9.00/hr. Probably won't do that well for awhile yet...
