How much of a raise did you get this year?

Published

(if any, I suppose)

Just wondering how much of a yearly increase everyone got. I am a RN in Florida and was surprised to get 7.5% increase (equaling $1.84/hr). I thought it would be a lot less. I know I am lucky to get anything these days. What did all of you get? Do you think it's fair?

Ahhhhh, on a wage freeze and tier freeze. Health insurance went up plus 1500 deductable and forced to pay 6% towards retirement. On the plus, we got to do our yearly evals (apparantly the 1st time in years), which were a mere 5pgs both sides! I can hardly wait to hear of all of the ways I need to improve...... Bleh

I got a $0.50 raise last year. Some got $0.80, some got $1.00. I had an OUTSTANDING performance eval, but I was still newer so maybe that's why I got less. I'm not really complaining, though.

What is the hourly rate for RNs in the USA??

I got a 1.50 raise which doesnt happen a lot in home health care. I think it was due more to my willingness to work wherever and whenever. I happen to love the company I work for and they have been good to me so that goes along way in pushing me to jump in and help where I can. It's to bad that mangers/CEOs weren't taught in business school that often pay is directly related to how peoples perceive their worth to an employer.

The USA is a big, big country with varying economic demographics soooooo. . .that's a hard question to answer.

You are right.... 7 % is incredible especially these days in this economy!!! We are unionized out here in WA state and felt great to get 2 percent at our contract negotiations 3 years ago.. the company was pushing for pay cuts. It is a bit of a pickle isnt it? Medicare cutting reimbursement.... companies losing money or barely breaking even ... cost of living ever on the increase... little or no movement of salaries to offset the rise in cost of living... it will be interesting to see what happens at this years contract negotiations.

9 cents an hour! But hey it's still something.

I'd forego the raise for the next 4 years if they'd just not cut two days a pay period for "low census". "Low census" is when they make 3 nurses do the work 4 used to do.

2% raise! Got a bonus based on performance of each individual unit, $750.

I have been a school nurse for 3 years and never gotten a raise. None for the teachers or paras here either. I did hear the top administrators on the district received one last year, but not sure it is true. I don't want to think it is.
