How much of a raise did you get this year?

Published

(if any, I suppose)

Just wondering how much of a yearly increase everyone got. I am a RN in Florida and was surprised to get 7.5% increase (equaling $1.84/hr). I thought it would be a lot less. I know I am lucky to get anything these days. What did all of you get? Do you think it's fair?

What is this "raise" of which you speak?

It was written into our union contract. The first contract was rejected by PEF union, but the governor sent out 3000 pink slips and threatened to lay off those employees who did not pass the contract. The deficit reduction plan (that's what they call it) is to withold a percentage of employees wages. Their concession to us is 9 furlough days. Members of both CSEA and PEF are subject to the deficit reduction plan. The source would be the state budget. The proof is my paycheck that lists deficit reduction every pay period.
