Just wondering if you could tell me how many nursing jobs you have had and how many years of experience?

19 years on current job, 6 years on previous job. Some small jobs in between and during (home health, pt, per diem, agency, even one day as a traveller many years ago and ran back home). I guess I just dont like change. Like my job most of the time too.

I have been a nurse for 2 months. I have had 4 nursing jobs during this time.
I wish I would find my niche soon because the job-hopping is driving me nuts.

I have been a nurse for almost 12 yrs. Total number of jobs have been nine. While I was a travel nurse I worked 6 out of those 9. The sixth one I picked up as a permanent position and I have been there 3 yrs. this month. Yay, I finally settled down!

i have been an RN for almost two years, have had three nurse jobs, although one doesnt really count. first job was med-surg, for 1 year, 1 month. current job, in psych nursing, for almost 4 months. in between the two was orientation in PICU but i bailed after a month and a half (quickly realized it was NOT for me).

CNA- one job for 3 years- agency.
LPN- was an LPN for 8 years. In that time I had 4 jobs.
I've been an RN for 6 years. In that time I've had 9 jobs. This is because I moved to an area where there are too many nurses, wages are very low and working conditions here are awful.
Two places were so awful that I quit after less than 3 shifts.
I've been a traveler for 15 mos and now, and I get a new job every 13 weeks!

RN for 44 years. 6 jobs, this one for the past 20 years at same hospital and same unit. Of course I have floated and or been pulled to other units at times. The 1st 5 were in states that we were sent to by the air force. I have been lucky to work with lots a good nurses and of course if some were hard to work with , they generally left sooner or later. All I had to do was wait it out and it was a whole new ballgame!

4 years as a CNA on Med/Surge unit.
3 years as an RN on that same unit.
So, I've really only worked in one place my whole career. That may finally be changing soon. I've really just decided that it's time to try something else, somewhere else.
